http://s2.b3ta.com/host/creative/69639/1303329077/willandkatestampsb3ta.gif
  6:24am
jay/london:

@david baker yes there are a lot of other things happing in the news why are they banging on with the royal thing ?
  6:26am
Robin The Fog:

Because its considered the only piece of good news in months! The papers banged about nothing else for six months before and I guess they'll carry on for at least another six months. By that point she'll probably be pregnant and we can look forward to a full nine months of speculation on what colour its hair will be...
  6:26am
jay/london:

  6:27am
Robin The Fog:

There, you've started me off now. I need a hosing...

jc:

lol well in london theyre all watching how great arsenal plays footy, so that could be a reason....
  7:09am
David Baker:

Have Arsenal got a football team now?
  7:10am
Chuck:

Ah, British slang. Always entertaining to us Yanks! heheh....
  7:11am
David Baker:

@jc... hey, only joking, I've never been to a football match - so I wouldn't know - but..... it was an open goal you gave me...
  7:11am
jc:

the greatest... invincible to say the least
  7:12am
jay/london:

@ david Baker think most of them are french in the team
  7:12am
jc:

i just recently found this out... the word soccer originated from england, from schoolboys because they like to slang it, would it be cockney?
  7:13am
jc:

shortened from association football
  7:14am
David Baker:

@jc Très bons joueurs, j'entends
  7:14am
jay/london:

@ jc i think all the English words come from England he he
  7:16am
jc:

no i dont speak french, but i should ask one of my roomies to translate
  7:18am
jc:

well i grew up calling it soccer and didnt know the differnece until i caught up with throwball in high school. but ppl here stateside get into arguments over what the sport should be called... its hilarious
  7:19am
jay/london:

@js it means Ferrer is a very good player" in english
  7:20am
Dave B:

American Football barely involves the use of feet, and therefore should relinquish its use of the word Football
  7:21am
Chuck:

I was just thinking the exact same thing, Dave...
  7:21am
jay/london:

@ jc you call it soccer as you have a game called football that is why
  7:22am
Dave B:

oh, and happy birthday to Les Paul
  7:23am
Chuck:

What then to call American Football? Lozenge Ball?
  7:23am
jc:

ya exactly and i thought soccer was made up in the states as a replacement for football... and who is ferrer?
  7:24am
Dave B:

Pigskin, Chuck.

Pigskin
  7:25am
Dave B:

Or better still - A GIANT WASTE OF TIME
  7:25am
jc:

looool
  7:26am
jay/london:

@ jc no idea i just translated it i do not follow football
  7:26am
Chuck:

LOL, Dave! Not to mention waste of MONEY! How about taking the money football players make and giving teachers a better wage!
  7:30am
Robin The Fog:

@Chuck I second. Who was it who said football was essentially 22 millionaires ruining a lawn?
  7:31am
KevinWho:

Laura Lee Perkins, where have you been all my life? Thank you Meghan !
  7:31am
jay/london:

@jc when i had a American girlfriend i got into your football enjoyed it till i saw a live game them the time outs did my head in
  7:32am
Meghan:

ha! no worries Kevin!
  7:34am
Chuck:

Ah, Dusty! Guilty pleasures....
  7:35am
KevinWho:

@jay/london: a live NFL game is mostly guys in slacks running onto the field with water bottles and towels, interspersed with occasional "football" activity
  7:36am
Meghan:

and man handling..... It's a straight man's time to be gay...... I have never understood or enjoyed the game....
  7:37am
Chuck:

Thanks, Robin. Teachers provide a much greater benefit to society than any football player...
  7:38am
Nathan:

Being American, but living in the UK. British football is a strange animal indeed... I've been to a few matches. I wouldn't necessarily call them family friendly, they're intense, aggressive, tribal affairs with a lot of grown men chanting, crying and everyone is plastered (though you can't drink in the stadium for good reason). Police horses, riot gear and a penchant for racist remarks thrown in for good measure. They take the sport too seriously. If your side loses, the general mood is funereal. Certainly not a couple of hotdogs and a few laughs, let's put it that way...
  7:38am
jay/london:

@ kevinwho yes but i first saw it played on tv where they cut all that out and just see the play
  7:39am
jeff p:

good morning everyone!
  7:40am
jay/london:

what about waiting for my man by the stones
  7:40am
David Baker:

@ Nathan... Agree with you. I'm English and live in the UK, and I've never been to a football match - I'm not that good at fighting, so wouldn't fit in... However, I do go to rugby, where the fighting is on the pitch and the people are friendly, and you can drink beer whilst watching the game... and my team (Saracens) won this year... so all is good.
  7:41am

lol nathan thats the best part! actually when your team is winnning and you have every right to start mocking at the opposing fans, its great almost like scoring a goal for your team yourself. love the crowds, love the drunken tards, would love to go see celtic match in glasgow one day hahaha

Chuck:

PKNY! Dude (or dudette as the case may be)! We're neighbors, I live in New Paltz!
  7:47am
Meghan:

After reading all of Irvine Welsh books..... you get a good sense of the debauchery that happens at football games. I am curious, but from a far away area.

Interesting exhibit JC..... I'll have to check it out.

PKNY, stop waiting outside the Chance..... the Pink Floyd cover band isn't playing tonight..... hehe
  7:48am
Chuck:

  7:48am
jc:

its the passion fellas, although england and scotland cities are very close to each other so its more than just about winning or what not... cultural boundaries maybe? anyways, eng/scot soccer crowds 5hlt on even the best american college football crowds. the best, especially the team in red located in north london

  8:05am
Dave B:

@Pierre - "King of Party" by F.F.F.!!!
  8:05am
Jim Devoid:

  8:13am
Robin The Fog:

Just waned to announce I'm listening to the show naked again...
  8:14am
PKNY:

Sonny Rollins kills it on this song.
  8:14am
Meghan:

hmmmmmm, what is it about this show that makes Robin strip?
  8:14am
jay/london:

@ robin too much info lol
  8:16am
Robin The Fog:

@Meghan It's because its too far from the shower! Didn't want to waste valuable listening time drying off!
  8:16am
Cheri Pi:

This show is perfect-all I do is wait for my boyfriend.
  8:18am
Meghan:

ha! Well, I think that is a good excuse then!

Don't you just hate always waiting for the same people all the time?
  8:18am
jay/london:

@ robin put a speaker in the bathroom then i know you can do it as i know what work you do for work !!
  8:19am
Andy in Berlin:

This Beatles song, the Kinks and the Velvets were the ones that seemed obligatory. Now I can relax.
  8:19am
Cheri Pi:

I used to be the most patient person in the world-but the waiting-really is the hardest part.
  8:20am
Robin The Fog:

@Jay Oh, if only! I only operate the damn things, I have no idea how to wire them up! You've obviously never heard me at work!!!
  8:21am
Dave B:

I have one of those AirPort express doo dads, and the wireless AirTunes thing is pretty handy. A small pair of USB powered speakers work pretty well on the terrace.
  8:21am
Robin The Fog:

It's an attention-seeking thing. Making people wait for you, I mean, not being naked...
  8:22am
Cheri Pi:

Amen sister-PREACH IT!
  8:22am
jay/london:

@ cheri i would only wait for about 30mins unless they phone then i might give them a bit longer
  8:24am
Meghan:

As long it is the waiting part.... though here in the states, the naked part I think is too.....
  8:24am

  8:24am
Cheri Pi:

It's so frustrating if he's picking me up-I'll go outside to pace. Then I can say -half in tears-I've been waiting for you in the rain/snow/blazing heat.
  8:27am
jay/london:

@ cheri do not let him rule you like that take control tell him it's no way to treat you
  8:28am
PKNY:

Going deep with the KISS track, bringing up some childhood memories!
  8:28am

Jim Devoid:

  8:37am
Meghan:

I say a taste of his own medicine. Don't show up when he's supposed to pick you up. Go do something else fun for yourself. See how much he enjoys waiting...
  8:38am
Meghan:

I didn't know about Woofstock. Most likely no. He's afraid of the brown acid......
  8:39am
