  3:16pm
Scott W:

international dance party!
  3:16pm
BSI:

I need to dust off the time-machine & go back to make a pledge in 2005. This is crucial wickedness.
  3:19pm

  3:25pm
BSI:

gak, funny. I was just pondering the pros & cons of the over-priced vinyl reissue of this Dukes item yesterday...
  3:25pm
Adam in Portland:

  3:27pm
Adam in Portland:

Randomly crossed paths with Scharpling, Hatch, and Puloma on the streets of Portland, Oregon last night. What sweet sweethearts all!
  3:28pm
Brian in UK:

PMP you just don't stop with Polly Harvey do you?
  3:28pm
BSI:

Brian: to be fair, the vinyl reissues of the two Dukes LPs look really well-done: super heavy sleeves & such, but...... money...... eh......
  3:29pm
Micah in Baltimore:

Workin round the house, lovin the set!
  3:31pm
Brian in UK:

Records have it any day I agree but the prices are bonkers. I used to love American imports 'cause they were so solid 'n heavy. We're talking late 60s/early 70's.

PMP quite right too.
  3:33pm
Brian in UK:

Scott You are the MAN
  3:33pm
fleep:

vinyl is a petroleum byproduct
  3:34pm
Brian in UK:

fleep Crystal cases are shite here does that leave us?
  3:34pm
BSI:

so are most people, methinks.
  3:36pm
fleep:

vinyl from corn, so people can record corn on corn
  3:38pm
Brian in UK:

BSI lotsa people I've recently are fossils.

fleep keep us in the dark corn on quorn?

here = where
  3:41pm
fleep:

Pepsi bottles are made from agriculture waste now, they figured out how to make #1 plastic out of corn and oat husks. vinyl is a ways off but it could happen
  3:42pm
chris & kirsten:

loving the stylophone stylins
  3:43pm
Ike:

Go Scott GO! Rock it with the... uh... stylophone? ROCK.
  3:43pm
hauswolf:

G-d bless you for working on the 4th if that's was this is.
  3:44pm
Brian in UK:

I believe record (vinyl) sales are on the up but nothing compared to previously. When did you last buy a new record?
  3:48pm
Looms:

Goodness, I still have my copy of the first and only Club De Rome album! Barely remember how it sounds like...
  3:48pm
Ike:

Vinyl? Feh! CASSETTES FOREVER!
  3:51pm
postmanpaul:

@Brian... at my age I have a tendancy to repeat myself :") I have bought an 'old' record recently, from this establishment:
http://www.therecordalbum.com/
  3:55pm
Brian in UK:

Thomson bootleg cassettes in the Mid Eighties covered every base.
PMP Looks wonderful, wish we had one in Watford. Is there a pub in that road that plays live music?
PMP Is there
  3:55pm
fleep:

@Brian Got cassettes, got vinyl, got wax 78s inherited from an uncle ... but lately? All bits. Material possessions have lost their charm.
  3:57pm
Brian in UK:

fleep I never wanted to own records, just wanted to hear the music as and when. Personally those material things never had any redeeming features.
  4:08pm
jbm:

This is the first good version of Beat It.
  4:12pm
postmanpaul:

@Brian the Prince of Wales just around the corner has local bands playing each evening, it has an original Banksy painting on its exterior - Two English bobbys snogging!!! Very Brighton.
  4:13pm
Scott W:

ok beertime, go!
  4:14pm
Matt B-Roni:

How is your brewing going speaking of beertime
  4:16pm
Scott W:

oh, haha, was supposed to brew yesterday but it became yesterduh -- so nother time.
  4:17pm
postmanpaul:

Sorry Brian.... The Prince Albert, not The Prince of Wales. We have a glut of Princes and Queens here!
  4:17pm
Matt B-Roni:

Scott, your slacking! Come on there is always time for brewing! Getting the last done for my get-together soon! :)
  4:18pm
fleep:

Great show, Scott, fermented or otherwise
  4:19pm
Matt B-Roni:

yea Fleep, good stuff, my first listen live in about a month.
  4:27pm
jbm:

Beer? Did you say beer? Still missing the on-air beer parties.

Which, I know, apparently made Ken cranky. But is today a station holiday maybe? Impromptu beer party!
  4:28pm
Matt B-Roni:

JBM, pulling out a micro brew now from the Fridge! mmmmm beer
  4:36pm
jbm:

I still laugh and laugh about the time Kenny G decided to gradually lower the volume of his show until it became inaudible... but the station's compressor thingies just kept compensating for it, and the listeners didn't hear anything but Kenny G playing a lot of classic rock.
  4:45pm
jbm:

Is this those cute Prince Rama gals?

  6:00pm
jbm:

Darn, it's almost time for Scott's immersive music parade to end!

Not that Benjamen's storytime isn't excellent too, but it's a different flavor of good and will require an emotional transformation.
  8:24am
raga:

just catching the archives. great show, Scott!
  6:54pm
Oona:
