hamburger:

good morning!
  3:07am
larry:

Hey Bill, I'm back. How you doin? Finally made it to the west coast. It's very sunny here. How's it there on the east coast?????????????????
  3:20am
Bill Mac:

Morning Gents! As we lkie to say on both coasts, you aren't yankin' me are you Larry? Everyone here on the East Coast is expecting that the big one is coming this weekend. We had an earthquake this week for Chrissakes, and know we're waiting for the worst storm in fifty years to come up the coast.... Just hoping that we come out of this with no flooding or trees hitting our roof... hey, it's just another challenge... So you're adjusting to the mellow weather and vibes out there?
  3:21am
larry:

Your choice of music makes a little bit more sense now that I'm hearing it late at night rather than early in the morning when I used to get up.
  3:22am
T-Zero:

@Bill Mac: Have plenty of rat traps ready.
  3:23am
larry:

Yeah, great vibes and all day everyday sunshine. I can't believe my luck. The people are another thing though. Don't worry about the storm. It'll head off out to sea sometime soon.
  3:24am
Bill Mac:

Hah! Thanks T! One thing I hadn't counted on is a proliferation of plague type things happening over the next few days....
  3:25am
Bill Mac:

Hope you're right Larry.... we generally luck out here on the left side....
  3:25am
T-Zero:

... well, if the subways flood they'll have to go somewhere lol
  3:27am
larry:

I was living in NYC in 87 or 88 when there was supposed to be a big hurricane. It rained a lot but that was it. NYC bends for no one! Rats included.
  3:56am
Bill Mac:

I will bend for rats....

WOW!
  4:13am
M:

this guy sounds like Tonetta
  4:15am
Bill Mac:

You must be talking about the guy before Mr Quintron
  4:15am
T-Zero:

I love how they say they're unable unable to breed with local rats and simply vanish at the end of their life span. Considering there were *more than one* . . . .
  4:16am
Looms:

Hello Bill and everyone.
  4:17am
Bill Mac:

I wonder how many of them they ate...morning Looms!
  4:25am
T-Zero:

That article caught my attention because a few days ago I was just watching some nature show about these *little* critters http://tinyurl.com/89lk5

Except for the tail, resembles a beaver to me: http://tinyurl.com/3eyxm27
  4:28am
T-Zero:

They say Louisiana, but a few years ago they were described as a problem in Washington (state) and it was *seriously* suggested sterile alligators be introduced to eat them. Can you imagine?
  4:36am
Bill Mac:

I remember seeing something about nutria on the tube back in the 90s. At least they have a woodland look about them. I was actually wondering whether or not they were fit for human consumption. They don't look all that tasty...
  4:39am
T-Zero:

Maybe they'd be like kangaroo... edible but only when cooked properly.
  4:46am
T-Zero:

The Inhabitants... I really like this track.
  4:47am
Bill Mac:

I'm a sucker for this type of music with brass.
  4:56am
Looms:

Keep it up Bill, this set is waking me up.
T-Zero, did you hear that Tuxedomoon started working on new material last wesnesday?
  4:57am
Bill Mac:

Thanks Looms, hitting some kinda stride
  4:59am
T-Zero:

@Looms: No. Without a means now to keep purchasing music, I kind of stopped keeping up.
  5:01am
T-Zero:

Are they doing something new as Tuxedomoon or as one of their side projects?
  5:05am
Looms:

Something new as Tuxedomoon.
  5:09am
Stanley:

(crawling from under the duvet) Hello Bill and listeners. This Miles Davis has got me going this morning. Nothing like a good dose of wah-wah-wacka-wacka to start the day.
  5:09am
T-Zero:

Hopefully I'll be exposed to it. I so love them.
  5:15am
T-Zero:

A bit of good Irene news, Bill. It's been downgraded to a category 1 (90mph winds) as of 3:00am. (Of course, not to say it can't pick back up.)
  5:17am
Emile:

Hi Bill, been away from your show for a while, good to be back.
  5:20am
Looms:

Oh, that's good news!!! It seems to turn a little bit towards east too, doesn't it?
I trust you WFMU people to be safe but I'm a bit worried about the station.
  5:20am
Bill Mac:

Yeah T, I'm cautiously optimistic about all this...
Emile! Good to hear from you!
  5:21am
Looms:

Bill, you're a true gentleman, thx for the Tuxedomoon.
  5:22am
T-Zero:

I second what looms said. He beat me to commenting.
  5:23am
Bill Mac:

I can't let you guys talk about it and not put some on... I'm always about another twist in the show, so thanks for the inspiration
  5:23am
Emile:

God I had this Tuxedomoon track on an LP comp years ago, what a trip....
  5:25am
pierre:

Bonsoir Bill !
Bonjour all listeners !

Tuxedomoon is going to play in Paris in September!!! Thrilled
  5:25am
Bill Mac:

Witness an international connection via Tuxedomoon...
  5:26am
Bill Mac:

Hey Pierre! Looks like I'm going to have to play a bit more T-Moon from now on
  5:26am
Looms:

Hello Pierre! Yes I know but I'm gonna miss them once again.
  5:27am
T-Zero:

I've not seen them in years and years, not since when I lived in San Francisco.
  5:28am
T-Zero:

heh, that's fine with me, Bill. lol
  5:31am
pierre:

This "El Ventarron" track is fullfilling every thing i want from a Afrosound sound checking every boxes.
(I'm so happy to hear WFMU, always with that warm feeling)
  5:34am
pierre:

^_^
  5:43am
M:

when was this recorded at the Philly coffee house?
  5:44am
Bill Mac:

It was recorded at the 2nd Fret in Philly in 1962
  5:44am
pierre:

Is not only me, my girlfriend is really digging those sets of yours to !
  5:46am
Bill Mac:

Hey, my pleasure.... the show started out a bit weird
  5:49am
T-Zero:

I asked Duane this the other day out of curiosity, but I'll ask you too, Bill. Do you like Patrick Sweaney or Eric Lindell?
  5:49am
pierre:

weird is good
  5:50am
Bill Mac:

I don't know T.... never heard of either of them... that's why you guys gotta request stuff.. we gots gaps you know?
  5:51am
hamburger:

blar - try and wake up early for the show - and what happens? I fall asleep! one of these days... ONE OF THESE DAYS I TELL YA BOY HOWDY!
  5:53am
T-Zero:

Sweaney is originally from Akron, Ohio. As I mentioned to Duane, he's onloy been played on WFMu a few times. Lindell, as far as I could tell in a search, has never been played on WFMU. Lindell is originally from Northern (?) Cal, but moved to New Orleans. Blues with New Orleans funk.
  5:55am
pierre:

yesterday i listened to City to City from Gerry Rafferty, and i found myself really loving the "right down the line" track. Maybe if you have a gap like a canyon.
  5:57am
pierre:

btw, Bill Mac, is the album "Guitar Mood" on vinyl? i can't find it on the web.
  5:57am
T-Zero:

Nope. I was wrong. Sweany (correct spelling) is from Massilon, but close enough. Akron area.
  5:57am
Looms:

I was one hour late for the same reason, Hamburger.

Good luck with Irene, Bill!
  5:58am
Bill Mac:

I'll hafta look into that one for you.... i swear to God... no label credit at all!
  5:59am
Bill Mac:

Stay dry all!!!! see you next week!!!
  6:00am
Stanley:

Great show Bill. Looking forward to nbext time. Have a good week.
  6:00am
pierre:

thanks Bill ! love from your parisian listeners !
  6:01am
T-Zero:

Stay safe and take care, Bill. Enjoyed the show.
