  9:27pm

  10:04pm
Other Tom:

re Chicago: Some of your less openminded listeners are really gritting their teeth about now.
  10:06pm
pseu:

not for you to say. and who gives a crap.
  10:14pm
chaz:

  10:16pm
Stevel:

I spoke with Mr. and Mrs. Duchendorf, John Denver's parents, years ago before a concert at Red Rocks outside of Denver. Very nice. Coincidentally I spoke with Chuck Mangione's dad at the same venue. Never met the money people of course, but it seemed cooler to meet the parents. At least, that's what I told myself.
  10:16pm
miketp:

Kevin:

How do you prove wfmu is gods favorite station?
  10:33pm
Kevin:

I bet there is a LoT of competition for that title
  10:34pm
Rich:

How?
  10:34pm
Skirkie:

How do you prove it's not?
  10:39pm
PB:

Do you intentionally play horrible music (Chicago, ELO, John Denver), etc.) because it is cool to be so uncool or do you really like this crap. Sometimes this station is too much.
  10:40pm
Rich:

How Dry I Am.
  10:40pm
pseu:

so, what kind of music do you like, exactly? I mean, how can *I* help YOU?
  10:40pm
john:

Yeah, everything sucks that more than six people have ever heard of. I mean, criminy.
  10:41pm
John:

I sort mail to the show. It scares the management away.
  10:42pm
michael c:

there are other radio stations, archives, and the sound of your own
a-holeness you can listen to pB...this is one of the best shows on the station
  10:42pm
pseu:

Oh, WAIT - I remember -- you like:
Jesus and Mary Chain
Captain Beefheart
The Beach Boys.
All have been found here. My job's done. And your job?
  10:42pm
miketp:

WAS IN FLORIDA FOR 2 WEEKS. FLORIDA RADIO IS THE WORST IN THE LAND.
  10:43pm
pseu:

No, mike, i play music that even I hate -- just to be cool, cause they pay me so much.
  10:44pm
john:

Actually, I'm here to gather information for the next hipster club meeting in Gowanus. I don't think they know this John Denver dude yet, but he's so good it'll make them throw away their Boston records. Now excuse me while I grow out my sideburns.
  10:46pm
Rich:

I like Pseu and Fmu because it Is always too much.
  10:47pm
PB:

  10:55pm
12539:

Pseu, I think of your show as a welcome guest in my home.
  10:56pm
EzSezz:

This Bon Iver song is purty.
  10:56pm
GM:

Pseu's show is the only radio program that holds my interest anymore, I, an old 70s prog head. I had no idea there was still so much good and innovative music out there. Thanks Pseu for leading me out of the 70s to something nice.
  10:57pm
HotRod:

All good, T-Zero! This Panda Bear track makes it all better. ;)
  10:57pm
pseu:

thanks. Forgive me for changing the direction of the toilet paper roll. How the hell can anyone reach UNDER to get any? I hate that.
  10:58pm
alberto:

pseu, you nailed it! sweating my ass off and blasting wfmu whilst i silkscreen posters!
  10:58pm
osvi:

Pseu, sometimes your show is the soundtrack to getting drunk on a Friday night get-together thing....like now...then Inflatable Squirrel Carcass gets us primed for the trippy stuff...oh yeah...
  11:00pm
T-Zero:

Pseu, kind of hard to have a sort of pop show and not play pop eh? And like you said earlier, who gives a crap. It's not as if they're being forced to listen.
  11:01pm
Kevin:

I'm still wanting to know how god decided wfmu is the best
  11:01pm
Kevin:

Alberto, what ya printing?
  11:03pm
alberto:

"WFMU is the Best - says God" t-shirts
  11:04pm
alberto:

  11:05pm
pseu:

  11:05pm
Pete:

  11:06pm
God not Clapton:

I'd like a baseball jersey in size XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
  11:06pm
PiLA:

you're welcome
  11:14pm
alberto:

i did not post the god comment.
  11:21pm
John:

Ha, caravan reminded me of carrole-anne by the orchids and I had to spend 15 min finding that wimpy record to hear it. Now I am back.
  11:22pm
Skirkie:

Could God make a baseball jersey so big that not even he could fit in it?
  11:23pm
john:

The Orchids are NOT wimpy! Just couldn't bear the thought going out under my name, if not IP address.
  11:25pm
pseu:

I gave him a capital J.
  11:26pm
john:

thank you
  11:27pm
michael c:

gotta give you a capital W for this show
  11:28pm
T-Zero:

Heh, I just thought John/john was adding an afterthought, like the band's not wimpy but that specific album was lol
  11:29pm
pseu:

i know, i know... WTF
  11:29pm
john:

Hell, almost confused ME for a moment.
  11:30pm
Skirkie:

Sorry, I should have referred to God as (s)he.
  11:33pm
john to other john:

Do you really think I'd both own the record and find it and put it on if I meant that as an insult? C'mon... they are so wimpy.
  11:36pm
eastvanhalen:

God and I are going to see this band at International Pop Overthrow tonight. You'd think He could at least have managed a +1.
  11:36pm
Wimpy:

I will gladly record you a song next week for a contract today
  11:37pm
John:

Tee- shirts and bumper stickers will be issued.
  11:38pm
Chop Scott:

Pseu!
The only solid and consistently good thing for me this entire Summer was yer thing with a Hook--I thank you!
  11:39pm
God not Clapton:

Best summer listening ever. I should go create something.
  11:40pm
Kevin:

Alberto, do you do the design on those?
  11:40pm
T-Zero:

It has been a fun show for this sweltering summer night
  11:40pm
tomB:

Was that Hammond Jr. or Sr.? Did he really use that title instead of "Wait"? Just curious. Btw, tonight's show was great!
  11:42pm
Colin from Vancouver British Columbia Canada:

This is just right.
  11:43pm
eastvanhalen:

Hello Colin from Vancouver British Columbia Canada. Are you coming to see the Irises at IPO tonight?
  11:44pm
john:

I vaguely seem to recall that the second best Albert Hammond on record did a version of the song.
  11:45pm
PiLA:

@pseu: baylor's up by two with a minute to go
  11:46pm
a specific john:

Okay so I just realized how many j/Johns are here tonight. The one that posted about the carrole-anne posted about the orchids and not anything else. Maybe it's time I picked a WFMU name and stopped using the random mix of pronouns and my name that I like to use.
  11:47pm
Colin from Vancouver British Columbia Canada:

I wish I could come eastvanhalen! I'm totally knackered after a sixty hour week, 1500 km of driving and this martini and pseu's mellow picks have rendered me catatonic...have fun at IPO!
  11:51pm
Stevel:

Colin: You had m a knackered and martini.
  11:58pm
eastvanhalen:

I was knackered last night, but that was because the cigarette someone passed me late in Cheap Trick's set wasn't a cigarette at all, which I discovered upon taking a huge drag off it. Made for an interesting encore.
  11:59pm
God not Clapton:

Kids today.
  12:02am
Colin from Vancouver British Columbia Canada:

Gonna check out IPO tomorrow for sure. Less knackered, more martinied. Not smoked.
  6:18am
alberto:

@ kevin yes
  10:06pm
Babs:

Bonnie Dobson---what a voice! Must check out her other songs.
