Long story made short - my babysitter was recording an album in China Basin studios (owned by a friend of the family) and her fabulousness had a session next door - she arrived in what i would wear today as a Mardi Gras outfit - gold lamé, embroidered pill-box hat, and a flowing robe-y type overcoat. Very interesting times.
