Good morning all! Thanks for the good wishes for the Northeast, James. Unfortunately, we've got no juice in my neighborhood (not until Sunday night, they claim!). Fortunately, we do have power and internet at work. Unfortunately, I have to be at work to enjoy it.

My fav soundtrack is Ascenseur pour l'Échafaud, by Miles Davis. And what a cool film!

Ya, that's what I get for living in the sticks. I live in Union, CT. It's the smallest town (population wise) in CT with approximately 850 residents. And 97% are without power according to CL&P. On the bright side, my electric bill will be cheaper this month.

fishmonkeystew - I know it's bad out that way. My daughter is in school in Western Mass and classes have been canceled all week, resuming Monday. It's not the snow apparently, although they got a lot. It's the danger from the trees and branches that have fallen all over the campus and the small city.

Michael, we lost power on Saturday afternoon at about 3:30pm. On Sunday morning when I got up there were downed power lines in every direction around my home. Also, several downed tree limbs and a couple of smashed power poles. I guess Mother Nature decided on "trick" rather than "treat" this year. Luckily, I work for an electrical contractor and was able to borrow a generator for lights, water, refrigerator, and heat. No hot water, but we're getting by. No internet or cable, but that's probably good for us. Southern Massachusetts got hammered, too. I live right on the border and have been hearing stories all week.

I agree with Jill-GTDS makes everything just a bit better.
