Bill Mac:

  3:20am
Martyn:

I like bizniz as usual - when its bizniz like this.

  3:22am
Bill Mac:

  3:26am
Bill Mac:

I'm a sworn Ophelias fan, and I never bothered to play this song before....
  3:33am
curtis chip:

  3:33am
Bill Mac:

Hey Curtis, welcome to the show!
  3:34am
Martyn:

This Evangelista track is amazing. Constellation do it again.
  3:35am
Bill Mac:

It really is... She's touring Europe but no England dates
  3:35am
curtis chip:

its 8.30 here... take a breakfast with your music .. nice!
  3:37am
curtis chip:

  3:37am
Andrew:

Hi Curtis!
  3:46am
T-Zero:

Morning!

Missed your singles show last week, Bill, but caught up with the archive. Really enjoyed it! Was just too tired to stay up for the live show.

This week, I'm awake but busy, so just wanted to say hi and let you know I am around again.
  3:47am
Brian in UK:

Mornin' all. Changed the blooming clocks last week as if we have some control over time.
  3:49am
T-Zero:

We change ours tomorrow. I've been wondering if that means McGasko's show will be a 4 hr one, since the time changes while he's on.
  3:50am
Andrew:

Like this pirate girls...I love slide guitar ^_^
  3:50am
Brian in UK:

T-Zero that's tough on Joe.
  3:51am
T-Zero:

Me too, Andrew. (And HI!)
  3:55am
Andrew:

Hi T-Zero! ^_^
I didn't know the Brian Jonestown Massacre sounded like this. I thought they were a lot more harsher sounding.
  3:56am
Brian in UK:

Andrew, it's pop but not as we know it.
  3:59am
Andrew:

Hi Brian ^_^

This Transparent Illusion is a mix of styles....
  4:00am
Bill Mac:

Joes a trooper, he can do 4 hours standing on his head...
  4:02am
Jay/ London:

good morning Bill and all
  4:03am
Andrew:

Hi Jay ^_^
  4:04am
Brian in UK:

How're you doing? Up & about yet Jay? Crap day though for rockets & sparklers!!
  4:04am
Jay/ London:

@ t-zero your time changed last week now miss one hour of the show
hi Andrew how you doing
  4:06am
Jay/ London:

@ t-zero i meant my time :)
  4:06am
T-Zero:

No, Jay, remember? I said the 6th.

Hope you're doing well.
  4:07am
Jay/ London:

@ brain well i can now get to the local pub but can not walk very far without gting sore
  4:08am
Andrew:

I'm ok, how are you?
I like this Skoak Kodiak song.
It's Guy Fawkes night tonight.
  4:10am
Bill Mac:

Good to hear that you can get to the important places every now and then Jay.
  4:10am
Jay/ London:

@ andrew yes it is and i have a grandstand view of it all from the 14th floor overlooking the whole of London so free show
  4:15am
Andrew:

yeh? nice. we can see the local fireworks from our backyard. It only goes for about 5-10minutes here.
But usually someones got them going in the backyard for a while longer.
  4:15am
Andrew:

did you score any good records at the record fair Bill?
  4:17am
Martyn:

Our firework display was last night. It only lasted about 40 seconds because someone set all of them off at the same time. It was one helluva spectacular 40 seconds though.
  4:18am
Bill Mac:

I didn't get a chance to look at much. Funny, the only thing that I saw that interested me was a Batman TV show release that J. G. Thirwell picked up at the FMU table.
  4:19am
Jay/ London:

@ Martyn did any one film it ?
  4:20am
Andrew:

Would've been cool Martyn ^_^

That sucks Bill, maybe you can borrow it from him?
  4:20am
Martyn:

I think a few people did. I'll have to keep an eye on youtube.
  4:20am
T-Zero:

Wow! That must have been a sight to behold, Martyn.
  4:22am
Jay/ London:

@ martyn if you find it put the link up please
  4:24am
Martyn:

Its at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6QtigLJD_4
  4:26am
Bill Mac:

I should clarify - Thirwell is a musician from NYC of some notoriety - he's known by his band names - manorexia, Steroid Maximus, Foetus. He was kind of one of the progenitors of industrial music. He does a lot of really interesting composing these days, some for cartoons for Adult Swim I think... of course, everyone that was at the FMU table know him from the neighborhood - eating a sandwich, going to the post office. I try not to be too star struck when I see rock stars trying to live normally, but it always comes across otherwise...
  4:27am
Martyn:

Thought I was listening to the Captain for a moment there!
  4:28am
T-Zero:

Thanks for the link, Martyn. Pretty cool! That must have been *really* loud.
  4:29am
Bill Mac:

Nope, but a reasonable facsimile thereof. Denny Walley (Zappa & Beefheart band member) plays on it
  4:31am
Andrew:

ahh, the name seemed familiar, but I thought maybe he was another DJ I'd seen on the program schedule.
  4:32am
Jay/ London:

yeah martyn i like the way the cam was sorta waiting for more fireworks
  4:33am
Martyn:

We were all waiting for more fireworks!
  4:35am
Martyn:

... and then this disembodied voice came out of the darkness ... I can't apologise enough but ...
  4:35am
Andrew:

wow that was sweet ^_^ listening to the music (it jsut went to that phasey sounding bit) as all the fireworks launched off, went well together ^_^
that's how they should do fireworks!
  4:39am
Bill Mac:

Only type of music I ever hear during fireworks is bad modern patriotic music, like Ray Charles "America" or even worse, Neil Diamonds "They're Coming to America". If the government can't spare you the patriotism that seems to go with fireworks, then why not stick with the Sousa marches that are actually kind of inspiring... my rant about nothing is now concluded
  4:41am
Martyn:

You feel better after a good rant.
  4:41am
Andrew:

I love how the camera captured it perfectly & that last explosion was right in the centre. ^_^
Yeh? they don't play anything here I don't think, maybe they have a local or young band (like high school kids) playing rock music.
  4:44am
Jay/ London:

Yeah silly to have have music with fireworks yes bands before and after is best
  4:46am
Andrew:

They are illegal here too, except for the ACT, Australian Capital Territory....where Canberra & parliament is....so the politicians can buy fireworks, but not us O_Q
  4:47am
Jay/ London:

well unless its a jean Michel Jarre concert
  4:56am
Bill Mac:

Remember when you could bring fireworks into rock concerts?
  4:59am
Jay/ London:

Bill never in England i do not think
  5:00am
Andrew:

nope....that sounds interesting though...I imagine some got fired at the band if they weren't playing so well ^_^
  5:01am
Marmalade Kitty:

morning all!!!
  5:02am
Andrew:

I remember when you could bring your own water to concerts though. & not have to pay $5 a bottle.
Hi Marmalade Kitty! ^_^
  5:03am
Bill Mac:

Morning Kitty! We were just talking about fireworks at concerts
  5:04am
Jay/ London:

morning Marmalade kitty got any mushrooms yet
  5:05am
Jay/ London:

I remember when you did not have to get a loan out to go to a concert
  5:10am
Stanley:

Morning Bill, hello everyone, Talking of concerts I'm going to see Toumani Diabate on monday. Doubt we'll rip up the place though.
  5:11am
Andrew:

60F=15C...it was about 30C today here ^_^ but that's too hot for me.
Hi Stanley
  5:13am
Martyn:

30°C! We could do with some of that in the UK
  5:15am
Bill Mac:

I miss the hot.... hey Stan!
  5:16am
Jay/ London:

its 17c here in London which is warm for this time of year it should be more like 12c
  5:19am
Jay/ London:

ahh the smile sessions :)
  5:21am
Bill Mac:

I can no longer poo poo this band.... awesome vocals
  5:23am
Martyn:

Awesome arrangements too. Van Dyke Parks was involved I think.
  5:25am
Bill Mac:

I know they worked together at some point. We got re-releases by both this week.
  5:26am
abby in france:

speaking of expensive concerts you wish you hadn't been to...brian wilson in paris last month, sorry, but. he played almost nothing from smile, and not that much from pet sounds either. it was all the early stuff. very hokey. not parksian at all.
hi bill mac, guys, kitty.
  5:29am
Andrew:

Hi abby! I remember you saying you were going to see him. I have Smile & Pet Sounds, both good albums.
  5:31am
abby in france:

hi andrew!
  5:33am
abby in france:

hi bill! we're most of us an hour behind this week because of the time change.
  5:35am
Marmalade Kitty:

sorry Jay, no shrooms yet! :) B. Wilson played mancheste uk in september, toyed with the idea of going but at £50 ..a bit steeep! Glad I didn't, if it was the same as you say Abby.
  5:38am
Andrew:

I heard a review from when he was in Australia during the Smile tour & he was very quiet, I guess because he is getting older.
  5:42am
Marmalade Kitty:

Roger Waters playing around christmas time I think. He charges £70 -£120 show if I'm correct?!? not for me unless I'm feeling spontaneous and foolish!
  5:43am
Jay/ London:

@kitty b.Wilson played kenwood house in the north of hampstead this summer
but price put me off. The stage is on a lake all very English setting with people taking picnics and sitting in deck chairs ending with fireworks which i could see from my window
  5:43am
Bill Mac:

He's playing at the baseball stadium in Philly this coming summer...
  5:44am
Marmalade Kitty:

one of the best shows I've ever seen was Arthur Lee and love with Johnny Echols, only £35 It was sheer magic! there is a lot to be said for not ripping off the fans
  5:44am
Bill Mac:

That's cool Jay.... do you need a butler or a caregiver (nudge nudge)?
  5:45am
Stanley:

Toumani Diabate twenty quid! Yeah!
  5:45am
Marmalade Kitty:

sounds great Jay..
  5:47am
Emile:

Hi bill, all. Missed the rec fair this time round. 'Next year in NY!' for sure.
  5:48am
Marmalade Kitty:

the Love show was in 2004. Arthur looked soooo good! we'll miss him!
  5:49am
Bill Mac:

Hey Emile, the weather kept a lot of folks away on Saturday, which means lotsa cheap pickins on Sunday.
  5:49am
Bill Mac:

  5:50am

  5:53am
Marmalade Kitty:

  5:54am
