  3:16am
Brian in UK:

Hello Bill & folks, flying visit today. Pre-Christmas visit to family on this cold & frosty morning. More tea needed.
How's work, Bill. Are you in the tea club?
  3:19am
T-Zero:

Hi, Brian. Did that pre-Christmas thing Wed and Thursday with out of state guest. Hope you and your family are well.
  3:33am
Brian in UK:

  3:35am
Brian in UK:

Sorry T-Zero, eyes not properly open yet.
  3:36am
Martyn:

Quite a menagerie you must have there Brian. Any use for a couple of pandas?
  3:36am
Bill Mac:

Just gotta cruise through this week to get to the holiday weekend. looking forward to it... how're all you doon?
  3:36am
T-Zero:

Mine either, Brian. You live on a farm? Or just country living? 0C here this morning as well. Brrrrr, after a couple days of spring-like weather.
  3:38am

T-Zero:

Hi, Jay. Long-time no see.
  3:43am
Jay/ London:

yeah t-zero i was busy last weekend went down to kent to see my brother but here now
  3:43am
Bill Mac:

Hey Jay, what's that? Squeeze Me? It's the title of the CD folks, not necessarily a request.
  3:45am
Jay/ London:

yes bill that’s the one have not played it yet
  3:46am
Brian in UK:

I live in the middle of town. I wish for a bigger space outside.
Everything hunky dory, Jay?
  3:47am
Brian in UK:

Hold the pandas, Martyn. What can you do with a ton of panda shit?
  3:48am
Martyn:

Hmm ... good question.
  3:48am
PGB:

You can be glad that it's not *two* tons.
  3:49am
T-Zero:

@Brian: Ah! Some cities here allow chickens in town as well. usually just no roosters. Family who had chickens got rid of them though... they were attracting rats.
  3:49am
Jay/ London:

yes brian not bad seeing my doc on monday to get my tests back then my stitches come out on the 23rd that the xmas prescent that i am looking foeward to why do you want a bigger spce outside brian ?
  3:49am
Tomek:

Hello Bill! Greetings from Warsaw again. I love these Zzzzzzzzzero Saturdays!
  3:50am
T-Zero:

It was me... Skoal Kodioak ;)
  3:51am
T-Zero:

Zero Hour good. Zero temp bad. lol
  3:56am
Brian in UK:

Jay, want a bigger garden so I could get rid of the allotment.
No roosters, T-Zero.
Henry Kaiser did some stuff with David Lindley & Madagasgan muscians if memory serves.
  3:59am
Jay/ London:

@ brain well is not having a allotment a good way of having some time to yourself
  4:00am
T-Zero:

Klaus Schulze "In Blue" is a 3-CD set that I like a lot. And Tuxedomoon "Cantonese Boy" ... don't know if that's what you had in mind though with double albums.
  4:06am
bruce:

kool music
  4:08am
LaFletcher:

Man this stuff is rockin - tuning in from Melbourne Australia.
Especially enjoyed IlDong Bae - I recognised his voice from a documentary I watched recently.
  4:09am
Bill Mac:

Henry Kaiser is someone I've always wanted to like more than I do. He was also in a band with French - called French Frith Kaiser and Thompson. You know all these artists if you listen here. It was like an avant-garde supergroup. Rich H adds that Cans Tago mago was a double. Greetings to Bruce and LeFletcher!
  4:13am
Stanley:

Morning Bill, morning commentators
  4:15am
Bill Mac:

Morning Stanley, you're just in time
  4:16am
Brian in UK:

Jay, it can be very peaceful digging with just the birdsong for company. I do have a shed but it is not a means of escape!! In fact there are two sheds. Might change my name to Arthur Jackson (Monty Python reference)
  4:16am
T-Zero:

Hi, Stanley.
  4:16am
bruce:

james clarence has a mick jagger feel to his music.
  4:18am
bruce:

there can`t be too much captian beefheart.
  4:19am
Bill Mac:

No sir.... Beefheart passed a year to the day... James Chance was a sax player with a band called the Contortions back in the day.
  4:31am
Martyn:

Zappa so soon after Beefheart. It doesn't get better than this.
  4:31am
T-Zero:

Zappa, Captain Beefheart, both are up there as ones I've always been aware of but never really listened to except on the radio. Most of what you've played today I'd never heard of.
  4:34am
T-Zero:

Well, Can, Skoal Kodiak, Butthole Surfers, Ink Spots of course I knew of... but not the rest.
  4:35am
Bill Mac:

Glad to hear that T. I feel like I overdo Frank and Don a bit, so I'm glad it's stuff you haven't heard. Franks birthday is next week too
  4:41am
T-Zero:

To be candid, I admire Zappa's talent, but the music itself doesn't really appeal to me... usually.
  4:44am
PGB:

Meat Man Pete's got troubles. Meat, wood, rice, bread. That's why I stuck with software.
  4:46am
Bill Mac:

I understand that T. I dig his older stuff and I can handle his composed stuff. He was part of the uniform growing up in the 70s
  4:47am
Brian in UK:

Funny I was humming Zappa's country take 'Harder Than Your Husband' last week.
  4:50am
Brian in UK:

Bill, you are following the brief, surely.
  4:54am
Brian in UK:

Never got that 70s Zappa is a god thing, know what you mean, Bill.
  4:57am
Emile:

Tuning in too late.... aarrrggg!
  5:00am
Tomek:

I really love WFMU iOS application & archives feature! You should receive some kind of IT Software Innovation Award if there is one.
  5:01am
Bill Mac:

Does anyone know if another station has an extensive archive like this one?

Morning Emile!
  5:04am
Bill Mac:

Check out my Beefheart Tribute Show from last year.... http://wfmu.org/playlists/shows/38482
  5:04am
Emile:

FMU's archive is totally unique as far as I know. I make a lot of use of it. Often repeat shows I liked, and ones I missed that are at times I can't hear live.... like Clay's show & 7-sec delay...
  5:05am
T-Zero:

Bill, I listen to a lot of internet radio all over and have never found a station with archives and playlists like WFMU maintains. It's really the best!

BTW: Thanks for mentioning that Princeton station. Have been listening to it and really like it.
  5:06am
Bill Mac:

Princeton compliments us pretty nicely. If you can's hear it hear you should be able to hear it there.
  5:09am
Brian in UK:

To the bazaar for yogurt & coffee. See you there. Then across the Bosphrous for some Kurdish food.
  5:10am
Bill Mac:

Awesome Brian... I'm jealous!
  5:12am
Emile:

Listener poll: fave Beefheart LP and fave track? Go!
  5:14am
Brian in UK:

'Too Much Time' I'm Beefheart lite fan!!
  5:15am
Martyn:

Trout Mask Replica/Moonlight in Vermont, probably.
  5:15am
Martyn:

Yours Emile?
  5:16am
Emile:

Lick My Decals Off, Baby / I Love You, You Big Dummy
  5:16am
Brian in UK:

Bill you are on the ferry already, just close your eyes.
Oh Mr Merritt. Priceless.
  5:16am
Emile:

I like the two other selections, too!
  5:17am
Martyn:

Good choice. I'mchanging my mind already maybe.
  5:17am
Emile:

Sounds a bit like Kim Fowley!
  5:17am
Bill Mac:

Clear Spot has a lot of great tracks on it.... this is a question I'd have a different answer for every day. Trout Mask just has this mystique about it, and so many good songs, so that would be my favorite album... I think
  5:24am
Bill Mac:

Big Eyed Beans from Venus.... Safe as Milk from Strictly Personal are two of my favorite songs.... Strictly Personal is another fascinating Beefheart abum
  5:24am
Brian in UK:

Gotta cut & run. See you'll Christmas Eve.
  5:26am
Bill Mac:

Later on, Brain!
  5:28am
Jay/ London:

love the the three cent opera :)
  5:31am
Jay/ London:

love the heartline too
  5:37am
Emile:

Fully support the country music, Bill. Especially dig your slightly off-center selections.
  5:39am
T-Zero:

Some Christmas music could be appropriate, just not the entire show please!

BTW: I like country, western and Tejano and Twang as well.
  5:40am
Bill Mac:

Duly noted T.... glad you guys like the twerng.....
  5:41am
Emile:

And he dares to play Ween - awesome!
  5:41am
Marmalade Kitty:

Good Zzzzzmorning, Bill & all!
  5:43am
Destroit:

Ha, I woke up to my favorite ween song . Great things!
  5:43am
Jay/ London:

GOOD Morning Kitty just off to camden market for Christmas shopping
  5:44am
Bill Mac:

Morning Kit!
  5:45am
Marmalade Kitty:

The goose certainly is gettingly fat..!
  5:45am
Bill Mac:

Hey Destroit.... was listening to weens Live in Chicago on the way to the station tonite... keep forgetting how good they are....
  5:46am
Bill Mac:

Hope that isn't a swipe at my present girth K. Too much holiday food at the office these days!!
  5:46am
Jay/ London:

nothing like a bit of tom waits
  5:46am
Emile:

Ween is so good and I feel really overlooked.... White Pepper, Quebec, 12 Country Greats...
  5:49am
Bill Mac:

They're from Lambertvile NJ. I used to see them when they came to Philly back in the 90s... they'd play a little crap club and their families would be there front and center... I thought that was cool. now they're big time... I remember one year they organized a caroling thing in their hometown, but they sang Zappa songs instead...
  5:52am
Marmalade Kitty:

no, Bill! I mean It's the Christmas lurk, everybody! :) sneaks up on me every year!
  5:52am
kim:

old ultravox, awesome
  5:54am
T-Zero:

I agree, Kim.

Morning! Mk!
  5:55am
Destroit:

Yes, ween can fill a live show like no other. That "live in Chicago" show is great. Ween played a 4.5 hour show in Pontiac years ago that danced between soul, funk, country, and metal until it crescendoed with hot for teacher. Great show, sorry I slept thru most of it....
  5:55am
Bill Mac:

Hey Kim! My first concession to the Christmas season....
  5:56am
Bill Mac:

Four and a half hours.... that's hilarious!
  5:56am
Bill Mac:

Folks it's time I shove off.... see you next week!
  5:57am
Still Not The Oz Brothers:

Three flamin' hours an' not one o' them said "G'day", mate.
Artists an' innerleckshuls, mate, artists an' flamin' innerleckshuls. Can't open the mic more than once an hour cuz they've got their headphones so far up their ...
Too busy typing, mate. That pommy bastard was a bit of a joker, though, mate. Two-Sheds Jackson. Is it over, mate?
You never know, mate, you never know. "Autumn's Child", mate.
  6:00am
T-Zero:

Thanks Bill, have a great week!
  6:08am
Destroit:

Gonna have to figure out a way to hear bills show. Ate bagel sandwiches at 2:00am....game over after that. @ marmalade: four shows...I like your sticktuitiveness....:)
  2:17pm
Looms:
