The dynamic husband and wife duo of Moscow-born violist, composer and arranger Lev Zhurbin a/k/a "Ljova" and Lithuanian-born singer Inna Barmash return to their musical roots: They'll spin soundtrack music and other gems from Russia and the former Soviet Union. Ljova has been thinking movie music a lot lately - his new CD Lost in Kino, which we'll also sample, is a collection of his acclaimed film soundtrack compositions. Lost in Kino is being launched with a free audio-visual extravaganza featuring live music and film clips - including sets by, among others, Inna and Ljova's bands the Kontraband and Romashka at Lincoln Center's Rubinstein Atrium on Thursday December 22.
