@pierre: did you see the killer lineup for next Friday's show @olympic?
  6:43am
pierre:

I'm not sure fred, which one?
  6:44am
fred:

@pierre: Sister Iodine, TG, Fusiller, Nox Factio. I'd go to a show featuring any one of these.
  6:48am
pierre:

Oh yeah ! just stumbled on it (thanks to you) that's great ! i hope i can make it, lots of gigs next week…

Just went to the MO'FO yesterday > saw > the Country Teaser, Winter Family, Dj Madgic, et Crack Und Ultra Eczema (very good)
Avatar 6:49am
DJ Keili:

Hi Everyone! I got no sleep, so I probably won't be chatting much this week. But I LOVE YOU! xo
Avatar 6:51am
Lisa:

"et Crack Und Ultra Eczema (very good)" - EPIC
  6:53am
Caryn:

All of the Netherlands is lovely, so you'll have a great time, Keili. Too bad it's not gardening season. And that most Dutch delicacies (like pannekoek and poffertjes) have gluten and milk in them :(
But you gotta try the fries with peanut sauce!
  6:54am
fred:

@pierre: I was tempted, but with Fred Nipi, Erik Minkkinen and Andy Bolus playing, I went there instead. I guess I chose Evil Moisture over Ultra Eczema
  6:59am
Marmalade McKitty:

appletaart! Dutch apple pie :)
Avatar 7:00am
Little Nepatizzz:

What's up DJ Keili? Love what you're droppin' this morning.
  7:00am
pierre:

I love Blouse, just bought the record last last week; each tracks have their moments.

@fred : I understand, althought (and i speak as a connoisseur) Moisture, and Eczema don't make a great match. ^^

@Lisa : If you like a girl screaming in german, this could be a band that you'd might like to listen to.

DJ Keili:

Is there Gluten Free beer in Amsterdam?
Avatar 7:03am
DJ Keili:

I ask because I heard that there are some really good European GF beers.
  7:03am
Caryn:

There's a great pannekoek restaurant where you can spend your time watching the horses walk past and the outside is practically petting zoo, since the cafe has its own potbellied pig and a bunch of rabbits and chickens wondering around. Once ate a bacon-and-mushroom pannekoek covered in syrup and powdered sugar there while watching a bunch of kids try to catch a runaway rabbit.
  7:10am
Caryn:

@Keili: hmm, there's a Spanish gluten-free beer called Estrella Damm Daura that they might sell there (they won't have the Finnish gluten-free beers). Interestingly, famous beers like Corona, Carlsberg and Pilsner Urquell have such low gluten counts that most gluten-intolerant people can drink them just fine. Have you tried the American gluten-free beers? Deschutes Brewery Sorghum Beer (from Oregon) was voted best gluten-free beer in the world in 2008. Anheuser-Busch's Redbridge was voted no. 3.
  7:13am
fred:

@Keili: You should ask the station's beer experts, Bob W. and B.R. They should know.
  7:16am
fred:

@Keili: you said what matters most: that you'll be back in two weeks.
  7:16am
jeff H:

Mornin' DJK....I'm a glutton for beers!
  7:18am
DJ Keili:

I'm not able to have even the most minuscule amount without ending up in the emergency room within a few days. Thanks for all the suggestions. I love you guy sso much! Caryn - you should come to NL and see a show with Bas and I! It's only a few hour flight, right? hahaha... I love that we can connect all over the world like this. But there are times when it sucks. Like when it would be fun to hang and listen to some music in the same city.
  7:19am
DJ Keili:

Hey Everybody! Say hello to Jeff Harrow - Designer of the BTAwK LOGO and T-shirt!
  7:20am
Caryn:

They probably sell Green's gluten-free beers in Amsterdam (it's a Belgian gluten-free beer label), but it depends on the beer (there's 8 different types), whether it's any good. Brunehaut might also be available. The Belgian Glutaner and the German Neumarkter Lammsbrau & Scnitzer Brau might also be available. Don't know any actual Dutch ones.
  7:21am
fred:

Hey Jeff H! You can bet your design will be proudly displayed all around the world
  7:22am
Caryn:

@Keili: or you could take a little detour and check out the Finnish music scene... hah!
  7:23am
fred:

Keili, we hang and listen to music on different continents (almost) every Sunday, and it IS fun.
  7:25am
Caryn:

@Keili: you know, there's an annual gluten-free beer festival in the UK (in Chesterfield). You should time a visit there with that and with some good concerts.
  7:25am
DJ Keili:

The last time I was in the hospital my nurse was from Finland. She was telling me all about it! hahaha
  7:27am
Lisa:

This Shad[]wB[]x track is SICK! Love her!
  7:33am
Caryn:

@Keili: still, make sure you check the label to see how many mg of gluten the beer includes. "Gluten-free" products can include up to 20 mg/kg of gluten, so there's a lot of variety.
  7:34am
Lisa:

Yes! Do the Earthquake! I'm a sucker for a good punk rock tune.
  7:37am
Little Nepatizzz:

I've been waiting for this new The Hussy. Thanks so much!
  7:40am
Caryn:

The last time I was in Amsterdam, they strip-searched my 85-year-old grandma at the airport. Apparently, her grey hair and flowery scarf scream out drug smuggler or something...
  7:42am
jeff H:

DJK going to Amsterdam???
  7:43am
Lisa:

That is not even funny. K, you're not going. Fuck that.
  7:50am
fred:

Keili, do you plan to check out STEIM while in Amsterdam?
  7:50am
Caryn:

@Lisa: hey, Keili will be fine. They didn't strip-search me. I wasn't a frail geriatric... And let's just say my dad and uncle raised legal hell with them about the whole incident.
  7:53am
Lisa:

We had the ATS in Florida harass Lulu when she was 8 years old- right in front of me. Needless to say, I almost got arrested.
  7:55am
DJ Keili:

Now that you made me aware of it, YES! OMG. I can't believe I didn't know about that place. I am so there. Thanks Fred!
  7:58am
Caryn:

@Lisa: Don't blame ya. I sometimes think some of those guys need to get their heads out their asses, because they occasionally seem to be on a power trip rather than doing their jobs.
Personally, I was worried for the security guys. My grandma does not take shit from anyone. You mess with her or her family, she will take you down. I was concerned she was gonna go off and be arrested, though.
  8:00am
Elwyn:

Hey,
Just got home from seeing "Bill Cunningham New York" at OpenAir cinema
  8:01am
DJ Keili:

I love your Grandma. That's what DJ Mama is like and I doubt it will change when she's 85.
  8:03am
Danne D:

yay Keili :) boo slow internet!
Hi everyone!
  8:04am
Caryn:

@Keili: yep, nowadays she might be frail of body but continues to be loud of mouth and strong of spirit.
BTW, gonna end the show with something thematically apt? Like "Leaving on a Jet Plane"? Though musically, that's not quite "Beastin' the Airwaves"... Anyone have good suggestions?
  8:04am
Lisa:

Bono? Is that you on radiation?
  8:05am
Danne D:

Hi Stormtrooper Elwyn here's a link you'll surely like :)
http://t.co/UUxX7coy
  8:08am
fred:

Hey Elwyn and Danne!
  8:09am
Caryn:

Hey, Elwyn & Danne are in the hizzouse! Or something...
  8:10am
Lisa:

Yaaay! Danne D. and Elwyn C. in the house!
  8:13am
Elwyn:

I really liked the 365 days of stormtroopers series.
  8:15am
Caryn:

Apparently, nowadays it's enough to play The Clash's "London Calling" to get detained as a possible terrorist when trying to catch your flight, so best to choose your music wisely. And that definitely means not playing 10cc's "Clockwork Creep". Those lyrics would get security on you sooooo fast.
  8:21am
fred:

I guess "welcome to the terrordome" wouldn't be a good idea either
  8:23am
Lisa:

Hahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
  8:24am
Elwyn:

I now want a mix tape of songs that will get me strip searched and arrested at the airport.

I'm thinking of making a mixtape of anti-social and depressing Christmas songs for Underwater Theme Park's mixtape marathon gifts.
  8:27am
Caryn:

@Elwyn: depressing X-mas songs? That would be 60 % of all Finnish X-mas songs. Seriously, they're all about dead children, trapped birds and the neverending icy darkness... How jolly!
  8:29am
fred:

@Caryn: well, I can see where the part about neverending darkness comes from in these parts
  8:30am
Richard from Venezuela:

Here is rainy day.
  8:30am
Caryn:

@fred: heh!
  8:32am
Caryn:

The black metal versions of "Deck the Halls" and "Winter Wonderland" are fun.
  8:41am
Bas, NL:

@Keili: STEIM should be really cool to visit. I never have visited, but met some of their people. Just saw there's an improv concert on Feb 2nd at the same Trouw building..
Do have a safe trip Keili! See ya soon!
  8:44am
Richard from Venezuela:

Agreed with Bas. Have a nice travel Keili. And post photos on twitter.
  8:45am
DJ Keili:

This internet is so messed up this morning. Keep listening, But I'm going to say thanks to everyone on chat now and KEEP BEASTIN'! I'll see you again on the 12th. xo
  8:48am
Caryn:

@Keili: Bye & have a great time! We'll try to keep beastin' & have a bit of a keilidh, but it won't be the same until you come back. Hear ya soon! :)
  8:56am
jeff H:

Super show Keili......have a great trip......you will be missed.
  8:58am
fred:

Keili, I'll miss you but you'll be back soon. Have a beastin' time in Amsterdam!
  8:59am
Lisa:

Jeezy Chreezy people! She's only gone for a week! xo
  9:00am
Carlos:

Have fun Keili!
