Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

Favoriting February 2, 2012: Lost Miami Interview - Live With Fabio

Listen to this show: Pop-up listen Pop-up player!

Artist Track Album Label Year Format Comments Approx. start time
I was unable to attend any Occupy Wall Street events this week as I was traveling. Arriving home on a Wednesday evening, I had only a very short time to prepare this episode.

It occurred to me that there was an interview I had done in Florida in the summer of 2011 that I had never aired. Thinking it worthwhile, I set about incorporating music and bytes to gussy the thing up and get it ready for Dusty.

The Florida segment being only twenty-minutes in length, I was lucky to have Fabio nearby so that we could visit on the air, take calls and entertain for the last forty-minutes of the program.

I hope you enjoy this episode of The Dusty Show. I am presently preparing Clay's Classics 4, culling together this years most essential Dusty Show tracks for my WFMU Marathon Premium. Just 2-Weeks Away!

In addition to the Clay's Classics 4 CD, I'll be including an exciting bonus disc. More on that later.

Again, no Occupy coverage this week, but don't think I'm not still interested and engaged in the movement. I am.

Thanks for listening to this episode of The Dusty Show. I definitely wasn't on my A game. Hadn't gone 'live' like that for a while.

Marathon is just a couple of weeks away and I hope you'll show your support when the time comes to keep FMU on the air. Much to do between now and them. Keep listening. Take care, my friends, and always remember.

Clay

The occupy shows give the listener the same sonic experience as listening to a TV preacher. Lots of shouting and people wanting a higher power to make things better.
  6:53pm
Caryn:

Well, the phone bill from Finland to the US would be high, that's why not. Wouldn't mind calling in if I lived somewhere closer by.

LOVE the obtuse and way out there songs each week (even the tehcno music) ... I always take a hour a week to listen to your show. Keep up the great work. You are an awesome person!!

Take care.
