G:

Well, look what the Storck dragged in!

Welcome...
  3:10am
listener mark:

Good morning. Which animals? Which humans? My cats are looking at me with a high degree of annoyance and indifference.
  3:12am
Adam in Portland:

I'm in love. Great show!
  3:14am
T-Zero:

Icelandic punk, German punk... this should be interesting...
  3:14am
listener mark:

Good morning Adam, Portland, Oregon or Portland, Maine?
  3:16am
Adam in Portland:

Oregone.
  3:18am
listener mark:

Has anyone been to the old CBGB's. Break's my heart.
  3:20am
Adam in Portland:

I went once in 1989 and saw that Hilly Kristal's dog had taken a shit on the desk by the entry. Seemed fitting. Loved that place....
  3:20am
Adam in Portland:

I feel the same way about the now razed Satyricon club here in Portland, Oregon.
  3:24am
listener mark:

In the middle of an extremely hot day, there was a line, waiting for tickets, in full black leather. They were commited to a lifestyle.
  3:25am
dave:

this "your food" song is good. What label is it on? when did it come out?
  3:26am
Adam in Portland:

True, true. Sadly, it sometimes led to knuckle-headed fist fights during the mid-late 1980s, but I take your point.
  3:27am
Adam in Portland:

I suppose I'm speaking more of the bomber jacket crew, but...
  3:30am
listener mark:

A friend worked at the artist supply store around the corner. She had an "in" with the staff. I never had a problem. And I had no idea how lucky I was, it was just a hangaround spot.
  3:31am
Adam in Portland:

Somehow I don't think an order if this size will be sent back.
  3:31am
Adam in Portland:

I loved the lore of the place, good and bad.
  3:32am
T-Zero:

A little low Thomas...
  3:33am
listener mark:

Truth be told, I would bail out early to go to McSorley's Ale House.
  3:33am
T-Zero:

All good now...
  3:35am
Adam in Portland:

@Listener Mark, another interesting venue I'm glad I was able to visit in 1989 in New York was the Limelight. Crazy place. I loved walking about in the catacombs there.
  3:37am
listener mark:

There was always a line to get in.
  3:39am
northguineahills:

I didn't get to experience CBGBs or Limelight (Or was it its successor same venue]) until 2000. Quite a different experience by then.
  3:41am
listener mark:

Danceteria on 21st Street was the best. The costumes. A line of men dressed as Vulcans. lol
  3:42am
Adam in Portland:

I think the limelight left me with a great affinity for venues that quite literally take the patrons underground. Hahaha.
  3:43am
Adam in Portland:

I would have *loved* to have seem that line of Vulcans. :-)
  3:45am
listener mark:

Choreography, you have never seen before or since.
  3:47am
Adam in Portland:

It is such a sad story in many respects, but I enjoy watching the film Paris is Burning" over and over, in part for the exuberance of the dancing.
  3:48am
northguineahills:

Dilloway makes good late-night reading music.
  3:48am
Adam in Portland:

Aaron Dilloway rarely disappoints.
  3:57am
Adam in Portland:

I've always preferred Fig Newtons to Juice Newton.
  4:00am
Adam in Portland:

Damn! I got my Juice Newton in your Sheena Easton, didn't I? Drats!!
  4:05am
T-Zero:

Damn. Bill Hinzman died.
  4:11am
Adam in Portland:

@T-Zero, who is Bill Hinzman? I would like to learn.
  4:13am
T-Zero:

In the original Night of the Living Dead, he was the zombie in the cemetery that broke into the car with a rock, but he also acted in other flicks and directed
  4:16am
janimal:

just tuned in. nice. negrontomous musique! and all animals ain't un-human. not at all. 'animals' are generally 'human'. no need for separation. your profile snap is pretty hippy too, btw.
  4:17am
Adam in Portland:

Thank you, T-Zero. I am certainly familiar with his contribution to Night of the Living Dead, and will research the rest.
  4:19am
T-Zero:

Yeah. He's kind of the father of zombies. He didn't do a lot of films or direct many... mostly horror films and a couple of slasher movies. Kind of a "cult" figure.
  4:20am
T-Zero:

Heh, his daughter said: “He just always said he needed to be cremated, because if we didn’t, he would come back."
  4:22am
janimal:

nice voice, kinda wanna go on a date, lol. hearing this airbreak- what is background music?
  4:24am
Adam in Portland:

@T-Zero, love it! He sounds like he had the type if sense of humor I value quite highly.
