Not sure where WFMU stands right now on the soundtap thingy, but got my 3rd account chomping on the stream now, today. Just trying to help.
  8:51pm Van in DC:

Intermezzo means something Italian, I'm sure. ha ha
  8:54pm Van in DC:

Anyway, glad to stumble across your show MAC. I'm still way into "discovery" mode for FMU. From the little I heard I liked. Will try to be back. Thanks for the tunes.
  8:59pm Van in DC:

OOOOOOHHHHHH! This is what Station Manager Ken was listening to when he got wrapped in all that vinyl! Right....!! (Or, maybe it was "The Only Song", I forget)
  9:00pm Van in DC:

What, is this Jim Price coming up again? ha ha
  9:02pm Ian Nagoski:

I Quattro Siciliani are covered across pages 507-513 of Richard K. Spottswood's Ethnic Music on Records. They started recording in New York in 1917 and continued through what looks like a couple hundred sides until Oct. 1927, recording for both Columbia and Victor as well as Emerson. Nat Shilkret (then a producer for Vic) guested with them in 1920s. Several of their records of 1919-20 were issued in the UK on HMV. Is that any help?
  7:32am Dave:

The Four Sicilians record was recorded in New York on April 3rd 1919. (Library of Congress National Jukebox)
  7:43am Dave:

As above, The Kirilloff recording was made September 26th 1921. Mac- this is offered as an additional source of information for Victor records.
