The irreverent upper Austrian drum & accordion (plus fx / loops) duo Attwenger began in the early 90s by performing thrash-punky versions of old Alpine polkas and other folk songs. Since the start, Attwenger has sung in the colloquial upper Austrian dialect (think Cockney, but based on German instead of English) - but now performs quirky originals incorporating a range of musical styles.

Attwenger recently embarked on its first US tour ever, to support its 7th and newest cd Flux. This very one-of-a-kind combo makes its first NJ radio appearance tonight.
