  9:04am Roberto:

Woo hoo unemployed after 8 years at the same crap job! What better way to start my new life than with Ken and the Burp Concerto?
  9:05am Caryn:

Morning, all!
  9:06am Tom:

Is that an audio tape of Gov. Chris Christie?
  9:06am Andrew Waterloo:

Good morning

Braaaaaaaaap
  9:07am still b/p:

In some cultures, this is complimentary radio and listeners are insulted if they don't hear it.
  9:07am JMD:

Oh dear! This is to laugh. Thanks, Ken.
  9:07am Roberto:

This is freaking awesome. Being unemployed rocks! Thanks Ken!
  9:08am ricardo montalban:

That 'Twisted Tales' series is wonderful, that track notwithstanding.
  9:09am northguineahills:

Unemployed myself (for the last 9 mos.) I have a much delayed interview today/tomorrow.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:09am Ken:

Come on people. You got burping or mout noise requests, now is the time to bring it. preferably with URLS or tell me the title of the artist and album.
  9:10am triish:

"It's a gas!"
  9:10am Caryn:

Is today's show going to be all about bodily functions?

Yeah! Mad Magazine's "It's A Gas"!
  9:11am ted:

There's that part on the Mothers of Invention, We're Only in it for the Money. Sorry, I forget what song it comes before.
  9:11am caver_mike:

Hi Ken - I was listening the entire 3 hrs from 6 to 9 - and I like this song.
  9:12am glenn:

hell, half the bonzo's discography has some form of bodily noise.
  9:13am ricardo montalban:

Ken, do you have the album 'Fart Proudly'? Not sure what year it was. It's one of the many and sundry 'crepitation' type records. Just awful.
  9:13am TonguesTooShortToFelchWithGod:

The Bonzos Canyons of Your Mind comes to mind
  9:14am Caryn:

A month or two ago, some WFMU played a track from an album that was all about bodily noises. Seriously, that's all I remember about that. Apart from the DJ warning all listeners that they might feel sick soon...
  9:14am caver_mike:

"Constipation Blues" - Screamin' Jay Hawkins
  9:14am Brian In UK:

No burping but 'Cocktails for Two' by Spike Jones has some great mouth noises.
  9:15am ricardo montalban:

T Rex, Life's a Gas, but there's no proper farting in it
  9:16am still b/p:

Brian -- I just this minute was giving Cocktails for Two a pre-nomination check myself.

  9:20am triish:

There's that women mashing grain track.. I don't recall the details.
  9:20am dc pat:

Jimi Hendrix's hairdresser is so cool. I think.
  9:21am Dave B:

The "Singing Asshole" from Bab's birthday party in Pink Flamingos comes to mind, but I can't find the clip.

DAMN YOU INTERNETS!
  9:21am Sam:

Something about a guy with a british accent saying "Take 6" with an echo that just makes my mind drift away.
  9:22am dc pat:

@DaveB. It was set to a Link Wray tune, I know that.

northguineahills,

good luck then! Perhaps you should take a sample of this show to your interview. Just in case they ask you about personal stuff , like what you listen to. I once said in an interview that I like Tonetta and I got the job and a promotion right away!! Well, actually I didn't. I got fired from the interview.

It's sounds like David Bowie with Lyme Disease in his mouth.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:44am Ken:

Heroin songs anybody? Heroin makes you nauseas and I was thinking about trying to start a heroin habit.
  9:46am Cecile:

How about something about vibrant health?
Timmy's Organism has a song called Silver Mountain about farming carrot and marijuana. I call it the Devendra Barnhart diet.
  9:46am Lou Reed:

Perfect Day - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYEC4TZsy-Y
  9:47am Cecile:

can't you get medical weed in Jersey yet? This would qualify...
I also got some super chemo drugs when I had terrible vertigo. Of course they gave me like 2 pills. :( but boy, did I not have nausea.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:47am Ken:

Cecile. Vibrant Health?! You should hear yourself sometimes.
  9:48am lane:

well... so much for this coping mechanism... bye.
  9:49am Skirkie:

Zicam on an empty stomach can make you plenty nauseous and is probably cheaper than heroin. Also, interesting colors result.
  9:49am F,0F,0 (:

aww, Ken. Don't be so gloomy. Better yet play those songs from Dr. William Janiak about eating healthy stuff like "Do you like foods (vegetable, fruit or meat songs)".
  9:49am Cecile:

hahahahahah.
I'm channeling my InStyle magazine. Just got the May issue.
  9:50am lane:

Avatar Swag For Life Member 9:51am Ken:

Bye Lane! Dont slam the door on your way out!
  9:51am Cecile:

Cameron Diaz is on the front cover. At no point do they discuss her OCD, inability to commit or germophobia. But she got to wear some pretty dresses and eat a salad with the interviewer..
  9:51am SteveL:

Vibrators/Stiff Little Fingers or Keep it Clean/ on Pure Mania.
  9:52am Cecile:

Good job on INK, Ant!
  10:29am fred:

Good morning/afternoon everybody!
@Caryn: I guessed Nat Roe would be the kind to play a track with bodily noises. Looks like it's Philip Gayle's Sleep Rain, aired on March 14.
  10:29am Dave B:

@ANT... nice work. I did a year of film studies at SVA back in 83/84, so I still have some sort of kindred connection
  10:31am Dave B:

and the Spoek Mathambo set un Underwater Theme Park the other week was outstanding...
  10:32am fred:

@Dave B: Agreed. Meghan should get more live sets, even though it messes with the themes

  10:41am Cheri Pi:

Ken-you win at gifs!
  10:42am ted:

Your mind is making the gif dance to the beat.
  10:43am fred:

Someone should write an app to sync Ken's gifs to any song's bpm. That would be a boon to humanity
  10:44am dc pat:

holy crap have you seen this Rammstein cover by kids?? Drummer is 5!!
  10:44am Dave B:

@ANT - that was many brain cells ago. One profs name, Roy Frumkes, sticks out...

@Cecile - The "dorms" back then was a floor in an old YMCA up on 34th and 9th... I think they've expanded considerably since my time..

I just find it hysterical that the word beneath the snow leopard is "peace". Not what the imagery would make you think...
  10:51am meghan:

My SVA dorm moved a lot. I was in Gramercy Park, 23rd and Lex,
  10:52am Cecile:

  11:08am Caryn:

Of course, the text above the snow leopard tells to "whack the bitch, rat informants", so fair enough. Yeah, sure, that'll lead to peace...

  11:16am weiterso:

fsk klasse!
  11:21am ANT:

Hahaha. Ooh boy. Yeah there are some pretty interesting folks around there. Had my fair share of encounters with eccentrics in the area but no one ever knocked on my door with aspirations of giving me a yeast infection.
  11:22am Caryn:

BTW, currently laughing my ass off about the 2012 Olympics' organizers trying to get Keith Moon to play at the closing ceremony... Granted, if they'd be able to pull that off, I'd watch.
  11:26am still b/p:

Make reanimation a competitive event and they get a two-fer, ratings-wise.
  11:27am Mark:

oh meghan, that was you?
  11:28am Ricardo Montalban:

For my money, this is the best Ivor album there is.
.
  11:28am Caryn:

Of course, online commenters have pointed out that if you can't reach Moon, John Bonham should be approached. Via ouija board, presumably. Or that if you want to get the original Who line-up together, why not go all-out and try for a Beatles reunion. Being relatively spiritual, Lennon and Harrison might be easier to reach...
  11:28am Carmichael:

Got a bagel in my hand. How bout dat, Ivor Baby??
  11:29am Ricardo Montalban:

Yeasty Girls. Have any of that, Ken?
  11:31am Aaron in Jcity:

  11:34am Carmichael:

Please give away knives this evening.
  11:37am Caryn:

BTW, Gila & Gunshots is from 1973's "Jeunes filles impudiques".
  11:37am Caryn:

Watch out, girl! That evil clown is planning to give you a yeast infection!
  11:38am Caryn:

Aargh, Gilda, not Gila!
  11:39am Marie:

@Caryn--ha ha
@Cecile--I was @ the Y at 9th and 34th 4 a weekend in '87--not what I expected from a Y based on those I knew in suburban Chicago--They had a 24-hr lock changer because rooms were broken into so much. It was basically an SRO. It worked for me. I had come to town to check out living quarters for my upcoming move to NYC. (Rents were still kind of reasonable then!)
  11:41am Carmichael:

BTW, thank you Kenneth for the Nazi gif. He's one of my favorites.
  11:42am Felix:

Is this Immodest Mouse?
  11:42am Dave B:

@Marie - yep, that's pretty much how I remember that Y.
  11:42am mo:

don't mouse on mars!
  11:43am still b/p:

"Laughter is Infectious" would be a good alt caption for clown and friend.
  11:43am David:

A wonderful album cover for Clay's "Dirty Clown" opera.
From Baltimore, the home of the original talking board http://www.williamfuld.com/ouija_factories_baltimore.html
  11:43am Caryn:

Mike Tyson is on tv talking about Jesus. Seldom has the 'mute' button been more welcome.
  11:44am Mark:

don't mute Mike Tyson talking about Jesus, that has got be hilarious
  11:46am Cecile:

wow! yeah, meghan I heard a lot of wild-west like tales from folks I knew who had moved to NYC in the 80s
  11:46am Carmichael:

I'd like to hear him attempt to pronounce "transubstantiation".
  11:48am bout in the garden:

"With that, one of Jesus' companions, named Michael of Tyson, approached the high priest's servant, and bit off his ear."
  11:48am paul:

i love Kura Kura Takora!!!!!!!
  11:49am paul:

or Kure Kure Tacora, maybe
  11:51am Ricardo Montalban:

Years ago, we used to torment office-mates with that Kura Kura Takora fan page that had the looping theme song by putting as many computers on it as possible with the sound turned up.
I wonder if that page still exists?
  11:53am Mark:

it is your assignment to find out Ricardo
  11:54am Ricardo Montalban:

Oh, god! It does! Haven't seen (or heard) this since the early aughties: http://kachimo.com/takora/takora.html
Be warned, the audio is really annoying.
  11:56am MD:

2012 IS HERE!!! REJOICE!!!
  11:56am ANT:

These volunteer odes have been cracking me up. "Ooooooh, Kevin."
  11:56am Octopus:

Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
I want everything
Gimme Gimme Octopus
Up from the ocean
I got hot and sunburned
Why must I live at the top of the tree
Viewing all my desires through a telescope... I want the stars!
Gimme Gimme Octopus
  11:57am Dave B:

  11:58am ANT:

Ricardo-- That loop is truly terrific. I solemnly swear to abuse it.
  12:00pm Caryn:

I think we've found the background music for Keili's next "Japanese Game Show" show. Nice work, Ricardo!
  12:02pm Marie:

@Dave B--it was probably the wildest of the Ys! (wait, I take that back...)
