Aw, shucks!!

Wow --- this radio station/city song is psychotic!

G:

Many stations had jingles like that in the 60s and even 70s...

Listening to one after the other made me think of quiet desolation nested in a bundle of cheery trumpets.
  7:21pm
G:

"During this entire period, WDAK was owned by the Woodall Family of Columbus, programmed Top 40, and was known as "Big Johnny Reb" or "The Giant of the Valley." Signal and audience-wise, it was the dominant station in the Chattahoochee Valley for decades. In the late 1970s, the station first switched to country music then to various other formats and under different owners. In the late 1990s, the station became "The Sports Monster" with mostly-satellite sports talk programming." Now it's conservative talk, duh.

What have you done? All day I've been hearing "That's my wonderful town" in my head (I've never heard it before you played those 4 versions near the beginning of your show today). Now I've been searching online and listening to versions for yet other cities, reading about Tom Merriman, etc. Look what you started! (Thanks)
