Listener comments!

  3:01pm
Ike:

This is brilliant!
  3:01pm
Mike East:

wow. That's a good one, MN Jeff.
  3:03pm
phooky:

I could listen to this all day.
  3:05pm
Mike East:

*NIGHT***PEOPLE!!!**
  3:07pm
northguineahills:

This is brilliant, indeed!
  3:07pm
hamburger:

what be this a crop of?
  3:08pm
steve from cleve:

so now, let's dance.
  3:10pm
Philo:

That looks like a crop of Abba to me.
  3:12pm
Cecile:

definitely Abba
  3:12pm
BSI:

Abba. I have spoken.
  3:13pm
Brett W. Thompson:

I am so into this rap right now
  3:14pm
Droll:

...But which Abba song?
  3:17pm
Parq:

Ah, something new has been added. Took me a min to figure out the new voume control on the flash player, but I am all set to listen without scaring my neighbors.
  3:17pm
BSI:

Every G.Whitehead thing I've ever heard immediately becomes my favorite G.Whitehead thing I've ever heard.
  3:19pm
Cecile:

I think it's SOS.
  3:21pm
Cecile:

ngh, I found a couple of Hildalgo paste recipes with just beef potato and pepper. Do you cook the potato before it goes in yours? In the US version of cornish pasties, it usually goes in raw...
  3:23pm
Carmichael:

Hiya Kurt.
  3:24pm
Mike East:

the boss is lettin' me leave early. Yabbadabbadooo!
  3:24pm
Cecile:

yay!
  3:24pm
Philo:

Its " Mamma Mia"
  3:26pm
Cecile:

Oh, ok. That makes sense.
  3:26pm
northguineahills:

I don't cook the potatoes beforehand, as the baking process more then enough cooks them.
  3:26pm
hamburger:

oh my gosh - trophies! freaky...
  3:27pm
Cecile:

THanks, NGH. If I decide to make 'em, I don't think I will, either.
  3:29pm
Carmichael:

Think of 'em as hand-held shephard's pies, Cecile. Cook them the same way.
  3:34pm
Cecile:

well, the Cornish pasties in the UK have soft mushy potato in 'em.
Cornish pasties in the U.P. have them cooked but not real mushy. the recipe I have for Hildago pastes calls for cooked potato, but I think I will just slice it really thin.
  3:36pm
A Jerkel:

Man you are kickin' it with Dead Birds and Sesso Matto. Berio next?
  3:36pm
northguineahills:

I cut the potatoes in such small bits in the mix that they're almost mushy, but not quite when done.
  3:37pm
Cecile:

Exactly.
  3:48pm
hamburger:

I am having serious potato recipe dejavu
  3:49pm
hamburger:

I'd like to see a 'deconstructed' cornish pastry dish
  3:53pm
BSI:

ARTSY FARTSY!
  3:57pm
Billy jam:

hey Kurt - see you at 5pm when myself and ALF will set up the turntables in studio -thanks -
  4:01pm
BSI:

Then there's the ever-popular "minnow-TARS"
  4:02pm
Cecile:

it's called "one of those potpies you make in a giant baking dish."
  4:06pm
wow:

ok, so... at the risk of sounding clueless, was last week's archive show a hoax?
  4:07pm
Wiley Dufresne:

Actually, you just make a quick batch of dough cubes, potato gravy and a beef crust. Nothing that someone with a centrifuge, liquid nitrogen and several different kinds of industrial congealing agents can't manage.
  4:10pm
Wiley Dufresne:

you guys are babies. Jeez, knives are so 20th century.
  4:13pm
A Jerkel:

Another killer tune!
  4:14pm
Cecile:

ETA Hoffman? The guy who wrote the real, scary version of the Nutcracker?
  4:18pm
A Jerkel:

Who is reading my diary?
  4:26pm
Carmichael:

WTF? :-) Kurt, never cross the streams! Only bad things can happen!
  4:30pm
Sean Daily:

Hey, Kenny G, this is Kurt's show!
  4:31pm
Cecile:

hey, sean!
  4:35pm
A Jerkel:

Just like this poem
  4:52pm
Carmichael:

Now that I think about it, Kurt, Gary Puckett's entire catalog played at the same time would actually sound pretty interesting.
Avatar 4:54pm
DJ KG:

mix it for me, carm!
  4:55pm
Carmichael:

Hmmmm ......
  4:55pm
Gary P.:

It's now or never!
  5:01pm
hamburger:

come hold me tight, kiss ma darlin'.... or maybe not
  5:01pm
BSI:

Creeping bumblebee god margarine, this Evil Queen Magoo track...
  5:05pm
Carmichael:

At 1st listen, I thought Kurt was playing David Byrne backwards.
  5:05pm
A Jerkel:

Woop Woop Woop Alert Alert Alert
  5:07pm
A Jerkel:

Yes the poem fit its billing indeed!
  5:11pm
Mike East:

Home already and Mini Minotaurs ain't even over yet. Woohoo! Happy Friday everyone!
  5:12pm
Cecile:

Carm, mix the Gary Puckett catalog with that weird Xtian word bit where the guy is comparing this young girl's sexuality to a panther.
Puckett always gave me that vibe, even as a kid...
  5:15pm
Cecile:

Whoo, I just re-read that. It's not a command, I mean, it's a suggestion. The thought of all the GP songs played at the same time, is plenty terrifying.
  5:16pm
Carmichael:

Ha Ha Cecile, how right. Young Girl, get outta my mind ....
  5:33pm
Mike East's Lunch:

Did you forget something this morning?
  5:39pm
glenn:

apropos of nothing, if i lived in bed stuy, and was going to open a thai restaurant, i would totally call it beds thai.
  5:46pm
northguineahills:

@glenn, there's bound to be one soon, hopefully they'll catch wind of your idea.
  5:48pm
glenn:

my usual royalty rates will apply. gai yang and sticky rice, delivered of course
  5:59pm
Carmichael:

Thank ye, Kurt!
