Bill Mac:

Do you want to hear that or something from their new CD? Or both maybe?
  4:27am
Stanley:

(Leaping to computer) I'm back and all charged up! Now this Alex Harvey thing. I remember we sorted treated him back in the day as a bit of a novelty act. Like a British Alice Cooper. Good to see he's enjoying a deserved posthumous revival lately.
  4:28am
Marmalade Kitty:

yes, please! :)
  4:34am
Jay /London:

yes bill His new one
  4:34am
michael and birgit:

Great. Mummer is a special Album and a good choice... Does anyone know what Andy Partridge is doing today?
Avatar 4:36am
Bill Mac:

Wasn't SAHB regarded as the worthy successor to Mott the Hoople after their demise? Yeah Mike, I always forget Mummer. As the 2nd biggest XTC fan here at FMU, I shouldn't continue to regard it as one of their lesser works.... good stuff
  4:40am
michael and birgit:

Bill !!! Both requests...thank you !!!! We `re out for half `n hour... Hear you later...

That should be an interesting listen Steve.... here's the new PiL track.... a little dubstep in there?
  4:53am
KP:

Awesome soundtrack to a hairy drive. Did you mention Wire, cause there were a few downed ones
  4:54am
Marmalade Kitty:

I remember seeing the Vinyl metal box and thinking how expensive it must have been to produce.. I have the cd version in a cute little novelty metal box
  4:55am
Hollis U.K:

WOW! great PIL tracks! was a docu here in the U.K called Punk Britannia, had a small segment of John Lydon in the studio recording the album :-)
Avatar 4:55am
Bill Mac:

Hopefully it took the edge off KP... I'm in Jersey City and it looks like it's drying out here
  4:57am
Stanley:

Thanks Bill. I like it. Very upbeat. Very London from someone who I thinks lives in LA.
Avatar 4:58am
Bill Mac:

Yeah Kitty, wish I had the box. When punk and new wave started everyone seemed to be putting out stuff in interesting cover art.
Hiya Hollis! Glad you like the tracks!

Avatar 5:01am
Bill Mac:

Awesome track Jay...
  5:06am
Marmalade Kitty:

Thanks bill! Great stuff! Have you heard of the subhumans-(uk) newwave band? I have the excellent cradle to the grave LP. They always used to put a tag on their albums, "pay no more than #3.25, to make their music more accessible to the kids
Avatar 5:08am
Bill Mac:

The clash were good like that, so were Fugazi
  5:09am

Yikes, I meant the Tommy movie soundtrack version, had a lot more guts, but thanks much.

  5:15am
KP:

you mentioned mott te hoople .i saw original band on firs tour over here, unfreakingbelieveable
Avatar 5:18am
Bill Mac:

Wow... I loved them growing up. I saw them in '73 during their American tour when they played Broadway. Mick Ralphs and Verden Allen were already gone. It didn't make the show any less than great, even though REO Speedwagon replaced Queen as the opening act...
  5:34am
KP:

This was overend watts et al. God they played just about the whole first album.
  5:34am
Stanley:

Here comes the judge. Fantastic - I'll take two cans of beer please.
Avatar 5:35am
Bill Mac:

The original band. I've seen old films of them.... awesome, probably the first real band I was exposed to.
Avatar 5:37am
Bill Mac:

I think a version of judge was a hit when I first started listening to radio in the 60s, maybe 66 or so...
  5:42am
Stanley:

Precisely Bill. I remember it being on the radio when I was a kid and my old man really getting off on it. Also, at the same time there was a song that went 'please give my Daddy no mo' wine...'. We loved that one too. Do you recall this?
  5:46am
KP:

Lindsay played down in Village in 2001. Awesome local all-star band, like Gripweeds. Show was loosely associated with WFMU and segments wer eplayed here. Top 10, for me. i could hear myself screaming when the played the tape.
Avatar 5:47am
Bill Mac:

You got the wheels turning Stan.... I'll do some research on that....
  5:51am
