That's it for another episode of The Dusty Show ... one that aired several days after it was supposed to. Better late than never. Anyway ... I hope you enjoyed it. There certainly was some spirited interaction on the Accuplaylist. People keep alluding to Occupy, so I suppose there is some confusion after I followed it for so long and now have seemingly stopped. I have actually been checking up on it frequently, but many events in the city have been taking place in Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx and it isn't easy for me to get there. I do want to follow-up soon and get an update. I have also enjoyed just having general conversations with people on the street and I know it will stay fairly political as the election draws nearer. Seems like I was just doing shows about the LAST election and here comes another. Constant campaign mode, but, in all seriousness, MUCH at stake. What else .... hmmm ... oh yes, email. Send me one. Send me two. Here's how ----- dusty@wfmu.org. You know how I crave it.

I hope you're enjoying your summer. I have been. Just now I am homesick for Iowa and wish very much that I could see the old hometown. I miss it. Take care, my friends. I appreciate your continued interest and support. Talk to you soon. Until then ... always remember.

Anyone who thinks there is little difference between the Democrats and the Republicans isn't paying attention to the world. Health Care Reform was passed by all 3 branches of the government now and the GOP reps still are trying to repeal it. The DISCLOSE ACT is next.

Anyone who wants to believe in an omnipotent being in control of everything is welcome to do that in my opinion. But personally, believing a cognizant, omnipotent being created the ENTIRE universe, is not an intelligent belief. Religion in my opinion is ancient people trying to explain life, and help them deal with loss. I get it, once when I thought I was truly going to die, my only thought was 'GOD HELP ME!". So I guess that makes me somewhat of a hypocrite.

The Hubble Space Telescope was pointed to the deepest darkest area of our space(The Deep Field Experiment), and the resulting photo was filled with entire galaxies as far as the eye could see.

The universe is incomprehensibly vast. Why would a god create something so vast only to fill with one tiny planet of life?

"subgenius" is run by a freemason satanist named Doug Smith, who uses his "subgenius" crap to lure in hapless young people from broken homes, and then invites them to "starwoord" and "winterstar" which are two so-called "pagan" (aka satanist) festivals that he sponsors. The guy is a sicko, who literally calls the two jews who committed the Columbine mass murder atrocity "saints". Doug Smith is a sick satanist and anyone who follows him is either one of his satanist OTO friends, or an idiot.

The so-called "occupy wall street" movement is the most pathetic, George-Soros-sponosred JOKE that has ever occurred in the history of "activism". George Soros is one of the most odious Wall Street shysters EVER, and he's financing your little protest because he finds it amusing to see a bunch of idiots blowing off steam by clapping hands, singing songs, marching around, and other things that preschool children do.

Philo - there's SETI@Home and SETI live - with SETI live you just log on to a website and look for signals on an RF waterfall, it's pretty neat because you get to see real signals

And as for ET, expect it'd be something not ahead or behind 'us,' but lateral and obscure, like the whales.

I think Stephen Hawking is an over-hyped egomaniacal and delusional fraud who has made no significant contribution to human knowledge of any kind. The only thing he actually came up with was the imaginary and speculative notion of "hawking radiation". but since there is no such thing as "black holes", his "discovery" of this non-existent "hawking radiation" will soon be at the bottom of the dumpster of wrong and forgotten quasi-scientific nonsense.
