Wow! The Surf Piranhas! That has to be a first

Hey Michael,
I just looked an your mug shot. Yipes! The drinking really takes its toll on your face. The mustache is pretty great, though.

I have a question. Is there documentation for the total number of studio hours to record/edit/mix Good Vibrations? I've read info regarding dates, musicians, cost, but not seen a specific number of hours. I'm curious to how much time went into the #1 hit of all #1 hits. Thanks.

My frequently-asked Beach Boys question: Seriously, what's up with Mike Love?
  12:20pm
Chris:

Another great interview Michael! Get this ready for the Broadcast Hall of Fame! And to those who don't get the Beach Boys: your loss. Amazed at how their voices have held up. Takes a lot of vocal coaching and persistence.

For a much ballsier "Summer Holiday," check pre-Bread Jimmy Griffin's version, on Reprise

Chris:

@G Gotcha the first time thanks. Right about the double tapping too. I was overly excited.
  12:27pm
Mike Sin:

Fine interview, as usual, Michael.

One piece of Beach Boys' history that I find really interesting is how much the popularity of Dennis Wilson's "Pacific Ocean Blue" solo LP has increased in the past 35 years. I didn't discover it until a few years ago.

EV Girl:

Luvin' the Summer show!

jmd:

Nice. It just isn't summer without Jonathan. Thanks!
  12:49pm
Rob Foss:

Michael, "The Beach Boys" per se are scheduled to play in Waco, TX and a casino in Miss. i early October. Looks like the Mike/Bruce group will be back sooner than expected. The original 5 wouldn't be the creation playing Waco.
  12:49pm
Chris:

Whatever happened to remix novelty music? Thanks Mike!
  12:52pm
chris v:

Will some Honeys be coming along?
  12:57pm
Chris:

Shout out to Steve Jobs for making my modern transistor radio! Summer sounds best on a portable. With Michael at the turntable and Rex on the horizon. Perfect.
  12:59pm
Stephen:

Michael, Is it possible that some day you might interview Blondie Chaplin on your show?
