Listener comments!

  7:01pm
Honey Water:

Can I be in two places at once??
  7:02pm
Mike East:

according to Dr. Who, every decision you make creates an alternate universe, so...yes.
  7:03pm
Honey Water:

Well, then, this should be smashing. Hi, Mike!
  7:06pm
Philo Gristle:

Hearty Hello, Mike!
  7:07pm
Devin Kettlecorn:

Hello Water, Gristle, East, and White!
  7:08pm
Mike East:

Hey guys. Nice to see you. The wife and I are in the midst of a Rocky marathon...only watched the first so far, but all are available streaming.
  7:09pm
Honey Water:

Mr. Kettlecorn! I'm multitasking myself into a cartoon cliche -- getting dinner ready, trying to listen, type....
  7:10pm
Philo Gristle:

Greetings Devin! Sounds like all the quantum-directions are covered in that list.
  7:11pm
Philo Gristle:

Loved early Rocky films, though it's been probably 20 years since I saw the first two!
  7:11pm
Danne Duckcaller:

Greetings folks :)
  7:12pm
Honey Water:

Danne! Glad to see you here!
  7:14pm
Honey Water:

When I can get down to one task, I'll adopt the Kettlewater surname.
  7:16pm
Honey Water:

Hearty, how 'bout Noah's Ark park planned for that King's Island area? (or just south of it in KY)?
  7:16pm
dale:

hearty white with his hair pasted down with some pommade and in a cheap rumpledy suit would be a great travelin' preacher in a big old used circus tent.
  7:16pm
dale:

mr peebles?
  7:19pm
Honey Water:

Holiday World in Santa Claus, IN, is the best water park within 2-300 miles in this region. Never been to King's Island.
  7:20pm
Danne Duckcaller:

Hiya Honeywater :)
  7:24pm
Philo Gristle:

Evil Tardis!
  7:24pm
Honey Water:

Still blue laws on the books here in Knob Knee making wine and beer (or harder) purchases illegal -- except in bars, of course, meaning the whole idiot dingus is money, not Bible-driven.
  7:24pm
Danne Duckcaller:

This conversation makes me think of Action Park :)
  7:25pm
Honey Water:

Oops, SUNDAY purchases should have been the qualifier there.
  7:25pm
Danne Duckcaller:

@Honey Water they got the blue laws up here in Bergen County still too :(
  7:26pm
Honey Kettlewater:

OK, a bit more all here.
  7:28pm
dale:

think of the bacterial infections you'd get from that water. knob knee - fantastic name!!!
  7:30pm
Honey Kettlewater:

@dale: Infections from Knob Knee water? Always a chance. But Kettlewater? Nah, our teakettle always boils the nasty Knob Knee water.
  7:31pm
Honey Kettlewater:

Or did you mean amusement park water? Yes, that's a crapshoot I suppose. So is life.
  7:31pm
Devin Gristlewater:

My teakettle is in storage somewhere.
  7:33pm
dale:

anyone remember fatty and skinny on kukla fran and ollie? the japanese kids who climb the greasy pole?
  7:33pm
Honey Kettlewater:

Why's that, Devin? Giving up tea?
  7:34pm
DPCD:

Oh, this is the best analogy ever- thanks, Hearty! Life is not easy to explain and you are brave enough to try at least.
  7:36pm
Honey Kettlewater:

@dale: Never thought I'd be able to say this on any FMU comments board, but I really don't remember K,F &O. Either I'm too young -- yeah, as if -- or the show was on UHF (which we were late in getting) -- or my older siblings insisted on some other show instead.
  7:36pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

Forecast Meatballs and Chance of Other Food. I think I'd like that better than the film they made.
  7:36pm
Devin Gristlewater:

Most of my stuff is in storage for the month. Looking for a new apartment. Found two, and had both of 'em fall through at the last minute. Then I had to move out of my old apartment. So now I'm staying at my friend's apartment without my tea kettle.
  7:37pm
Honey Kettlewater:

@Devin: I hear there are some Low Rents in Arabia.
  7:37pm
dale:

hmmm, it might have been on uhf. i know all the laurel and hardy and godzilla and ultraman movies were
  7:38pm
Danne Duckcaller:

Kukla Fran and Ollie were more popular I think in like the 50s and 60s
  7:38pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

When I moved here Midwest with Honey, everytime I saw UK in the Louisville papers I was confused as hell (being Eurotrash, originally). Same with the odd Ypsilon flags hanging in people's doors.
  7:38pm
Danne Duckcaller:

1947 to 1957: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kukla,_Fran_and_Ollie

  7:40pm
Honey Kettlewater:

Thanks, D & D!
  7:40pm
Devin Gristlewater:

@Honey Kettlewater: Yeah? Any idea how the commute between there and Brooklyn is? Need to be able to get into work on time.
  7:42pm
Honey Kettlewater:

@Danne: Well, I recall shows from before '57 for sure, and I've seen clips of the puppets and puppeteer, just don't think we had it as a TV staple in our home. Now I recall Sheri Lewis and Lambchop very well.
  7:43pm
Honey Kettlewater:

@Devin: Merely pushing a pun into existence on the slimmest thread of relevance.
  7:44pm
dale:

hearty - is this all stream of consciousness with no editing? crazy!
  7:47pm
Devin Gristlewater:

@Honey Kettlewater: Oh I was half there with you. I am slightly distracted by whistling Baby Mozart along with Hearty.
  7:47pm
DPCD:

Don't you like durian fruit? The problem is, something like that has to be consumed close by where it is grown. I don't think many people can tell when it is going rancid in today's produce industry... and it has a short shelf life.
The chances are you can never eat fresh durian unless you go to Mindanao.
  7:48pm
dale:

don't eat meat as of last year and a half. we spent thousands to save our cat and have no compunction about eating a butchered pig or cow or chicken. seemed weird. leave me my eggs, tho
  7:50pm
Honey Kettlewater:

If you appreciate classical music, Devin, be on the lookout tomorrow sometime for punny limericks weaving a load of composers into the rhythm and rhyme.
  7:50pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

Honey & I keep watching the adventures of Hapless Jim Rockford and his buddy Angel.... Jim does try and make the world a better place with his kind of miracle nutrition.
  7:51pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

gutter helmet.
  7:52pm
Honey Kettlewater:

Yep, Rockford teaches us the journey is always more important than any end reward.
  7:52pm
Danne Duckcaller:

GOTO HELL - "See I can do BASIC" lol
  7:53pm
Devin Gristlewater:

Always on the lookout with my ears for new musics and old! Anything in particular you were thinking of Honey Kettlewater?
  7:53pm
Honey Kettlewater:

COBOL Hell is another matter altogether.
  7:54pm
dale:

i'd like to be stingbean. prolly more a junior sample
  7:56pm
DPCD:

@ dale- the great thing is its self-deprecating humor stream of consciousness. He is allowed to have notes and edit, what a relief from the common Rush-inspired radio nowadays.
  7:56pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

@Devin kat posts her limericks at soundcloud.com/kat330 and suspect she's putting her composer-specific lot up tomorrow.
  7:57pm
Danne Duckcaller:

APL it's different too, it's more like

HELL<-YOU
  7:57pm
Danne Duckcaller:

g'night folks :)
  7:58pm
Honey Kettlewater:

That I am, Mr. Gristlecorn, all things pointing to "go."
  7:58pm
Honey Kettlewater:

So long, Mr. Duckcaller -- you quack me up!
  7:59pm
Honey Kettlewater:

And goodnight, too, to you fine folk! Thanks, Mr. White!
  8:01pm
Philo C. Gristlecorn:

Hearty g'night one and all!
