northguineahills:

Owsley, where are you now!??? (dead). But, man, this world could use his recipes about now.
  12:41pm
northguineahills:

Jeff, you're not on the terrestrial radio, the FCC won't mind if you say the "fuck" in Fuck Buttons.
  12:43pm
listener james from westwood:

@fred, the sad thing is i have another at 1 pm. will be listening verrrrry quietly in the background (i work from home) as an act of musical subversion. :)

Especially waking up this morning to heavy duty lightning and thunder outside.
  2:03pm
fred:

@kat330: I wish we had that, just boring rain today, no pyrotechnics
  2:05pm
kat330:

Yeah, Fred, I enjoy the sturm und drang once in a while to charge the circuits.
  2:11pm
fred:

I should see Aidan Baker live with Noveller and Unchained next week. I hope he'll hit that note
Avatar 2:12pm
jeff-m:

you should go. I had to sneak some drone in for a bit
  2:13pm
northguineahills:

Not that this falls in the category, but I've been getting back into dated 90s ambient lately. That, and Ninja Tune-esque beats. Ok, I've been getting into a lot of older stuff (looks at the Dean Wareham 7" on my turntable and the David Ware LP on the other one.)
  2:13pm
kat330:

That note, fred? The C or the G ? ;)
  2:14pm
Ike:

This is good.
  2:16pm
emmagineering:

this aidan baker piece is really fantastic. enjoying the show DJjeffm!
  2:17pm
northguineahills:

Older stuff as in recs I haven't listened to in over a decade and a half.
Yeah, this Aidan Baker is boss!
  2:17pm
kat330:

NGH, it's been a dentist day for me, but I plan to check out in some depth your Triangulation site later on.
Avatar 2:17pm
jeff-m:

ilove the 90's stuff NGH. It's whjen I came of age I guess
  2:19pm
emmagineering:

NGH: did you ever listen to Stars of the Lid? we've been listening to some epic early aughts sotl selections lately. sounds like a comforter :)
Avatar 2:20pm
jeff-m:

i used to get my dental checkups or whatever done to Star of the Lid. Back when they would offer you a CD player
  2:23pm
Barry:

That drone was killer!
  2:23pm
fred:

@kat: whichever or both, as long as he holds it/them this way
  2:23pm
northguineahills:

Yes, of love Stars of the Lid and all of that early Kranky recs stuff. Thanks kat. I have your blog on a tab so when I'm bored, I can go and read an entry.

(turns up the hi-fi for the Aidan Baker)
  2:24pm
kat330:

There's actually more to the mix, but the C and G stood out. Enjoy the concert!
  2:25pm
kat330:

@NGH: Oh, crap, it could make you even more bored.
  2:27pm
kat330:

[Tip: start at the back w/ p. 11, upper half at the Limerepic.]
  2:31pm
fred:

@kat330: what is your blog's URL?
Avatar 2:32pm
jeff-m:

yes please, let us know if you don't mind
  2:34pm
kat330:

Oh, sorry -- was away checking e-mail. Posterous, Tumblr, SoundCloud -- all three are as simple as my handle here: /kat330 or kat330 to start. Keeps everything simple.
  2:35pm
kat330:

BTW, the content is duplicated on Tumblr & Posterous. I prefer the typeface and overall page design at Posterous, but more folks are familiar with Tumblr.
  2:36pm
northguineahills:

Is Ochre recs still around? All I remember is the EAR and Windy & Carl stuff they put out.
Avatar 2:38pm
jeff-m:

don't think so since the 00's. They probably put out 30-40 10"s. Might be wrong. Put out a lot of small British Psych bands too
Avatar 2:40pm
jeff-m:

or the early 00's I mean...
  2:44pm
kat330:

This is lovely.
Avatar 2:45pm
jeff-m:

yeah, she's great.

Unfortunately i promised myself I'd end with Whitehouse :P
  2:46pm
fred:

@kat330: thanks! bookmarked, but there's just no way I'm turning off Jeff's show right now
  2:47pm
kat330:

Hey, jeff-m, not only can you not please all the people all the time, a DJ's fortunate just to please some of the people some of the time. ;)
  2:47pm
fred:

@jeff-m: how is that unfortunate? and you didn't just promise yourself, I read that promise and took it to heart
Avatar 2:49pm
jeff-m:

Ha. This is the opne song I always wanted to play late at night.... But the law is the law. Even for dumb songs.
  2:50pm
kat330:

Besides, I swing from lovely to wild and am an eager student of music I don't know. So TY for any and all you've spun and still will spin!
  2:50pm
fred:

I like Whitehouse and I like Marissa. Whoever has a problem with that has a problem period.
Avatar 2:52pm
jeff-m:

i just playing. Was more that due to time constraint itr was time for this song, even though I had staked out some different territory moodwise. Actually make for nice music neighbors :)

kat330:

Doug, speaking of music I don't know: Fela Ransome-Kuti & His Koola Loobitos? Love that name!!

Will be thinking of you in a chair similar to one I inhabited earlier and sending good thoughts (even for just a cleaning).
  2:56pm
fred:

Doug, this VA gets a lot of airplay on your stream, are you getting a cut?
  2:56pm
listener james from westwood:

thanks very much, jeff!
  2:58pm
fred:

Thanks for this show, Jeff, I hope you'll be back on the schedule soon
  2:58pm
Doug S.:

@kat330
Fela-Ransome Kuti is the same person as the great Nigerian Afro-beat star Fela (full name = Fela Anikulapo-Kuti). Ransome was the European name his father took in order to fit in with the Colonial governing class. Young Fela changed his last name to Anikulapo, which translates as, "He who carries death in his quiver and and be killed by no mortal man."

Ha!
  2:59pm
kat330:

Love the birds! A similar chorus all around our house, too. Thanks again, jeff-m, and g'day to all!
Avatar 3:00pm
jeff-m:

thanks everyone, enjoy yourselves
