  Wed. 10/10/12 1:11pm Jeremy Shatan:

Betty! This a bootleg I need to find.
  Wed. 10/10/12 1:11pm Caryn:

@robyn: I really liked it (let's face it, Duane hasn't played a bad one), but I think I prefer the really funky ones, like "Chocolate", a bit more. Still, another excellent Prince demo!
  Wed. 10/10/12 1:38pm robyn:

they have all been good for sure, i liked that one esp.
  Wed. 10/10/12 1:39pm Jeremy Shatan:

That was quite a cackle! Were you talking to me?
  Wed. 10/10/12 1:43pm Duane:

Haha Jeremy! I didn't really know that you weren't a Prince fan, but yes!! This means you. That ws actually directed at a few other friends of mine who are slowly coming around to drinkin the Purple kool aid :)
  Wed. 10/10/12 1:50pm Jeremy Shatan:

Hasn't Jan made that obvious on more than one occasion? But I do dig the bootlegs and live stuff so I'll be tuning in on 10/31!
  Wed. 10/10/12 1:51pm Cecile:

  Wed. 10/10/12 1:51pm Duane:

Hola Cecile!
  Wed. 10/10/12 1:52pm Cecile:

I missed so much good stuff that I am going to pretend the show just started now.
  Wed. 10/10/12 1:57pm Mike East:

Cool De La Soul mix. The whole show's been tight, actually. Happy humpday all!
Wed. 10/10/12 2:01pm Denise in DC:

The Five Stairsteps! Never heard a single live cut by them before. Thanks, Duane!
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:03pm Caryn:

This show is just kicking ass this week! And I really need to get that "Twin Cities Funk & Soul" collection.
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:05pm Cecile:

this sounds familiar. Might have heard it a couple of times back in the day.
Wed. 10/10/12 2:07pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Baaaaarrrrrrry! White!
Wed. 10/10/12 2:08pm Denise in DC:

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaary LIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:09pm Caryn:

I still remember that old Letterman bit, "Top 10 things that sound sexy when said by Barry White". "Number 5, 'jazzercise'".
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:09pm Jeremy Shatan:

Highly underrated. He knew how to assemble a groove - as a kid I liked how you could hear how the parts fit together.
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:10pm Duane:

Barry was genius at arrangement man. I remember that top 10 list Caryn..that was awesome!
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:11pm Caryn:

@Duane: of course, the series of "Camping with Barry White" skits were awesome too, but for some reason, the top 10 sticks in the mind.
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:11pm Cecile:

I hear this, and all of a sudden I wonder if Madonna ever had an original lyrical idea in her life. Or knew anyone who did.
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:13pm Cecile:

wait. I'm talking about Madonna. She's hardly the Captain Beefheart of the dance floor. never mind.
Wed. 10/10/12 2:13pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

That's a great observation Jeremy...
Wed. 10/10/12 2:14pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

Captain Beefheart wasn't the Captain Beefheart of the dance floor...
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:17pm Jeremy Shatan:

Those rascals had soul!
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:20pm Cecile:

I don't think the Captain knew what a dance floor was.
Wed. 10/10/12 2:26pm Jan Audun Uretsky:

The 'Scruffs do some nice edits
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:33pm Cecile:

feedback makes baby Jesus happy.
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:37pm Pidge™:

Duane is the man.
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:38pm Pidge™:

Glass Harp? Some sweet Phil Keaggy action. Featuring Daniel Pecchio, later of the Michael Stanley Band. Youngstown rocks! Boom Boom Mancini.
Wed. 10/10/12 2:40pm Phillip in San Antonio:

Man Duane! So "I Love You Mary Jane" by Cypress Hill and Sonic Youth wasn't good on "Judgement Night" soundtrack?
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:41pm Cecile:

The J5 rare pearls set hit my desk.
2 CDs and a 45. Really nice packaging!
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:42pm Jeremy Shatan:

If you want to keep the party going, check this out: http://www.mixcloud.com/jshatan/pimping-in-mellow-side-1/ - it's an old mixtape made by an old friend of mine...
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:43pm Duane:

Thanx Pidge. Youngstown definitely Rocks!!!
Phillip: Yeah, that Cy/Youth collabo wasn't really my thing...I though it was corny. I know a lot of other people who really dug it though..I'm in the minority
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:43pm Yalc:

Cecile ... I love the Michael Jackson track, "One Day In Your Life." Don't hear it much. Makes me weepy.
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:45pm Cheri Pi:

this set rules Duane! all is forgiven about your Prince prank. smoochies.
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:45pm Jeremy Shatan:

This Velocette is HOT - just put it in my cart on Amazon!
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:45pm Duane:

Cecile: How sick is that J5 Packaging? One of he best i've seen all year!
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:46pm Duane:

Cheri Pi :)
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:47pm Cecile:

It's really great.
And it's cool seeing the color versions of all the pictures that appeared in the Tiger Beat! book on the Jacksons my sister had...I remember the picture of them all on mini-bikes really well.
  Wed. 10/10/12 2:47pm Cecile:

  Wed. 10/10/12 2:54pm Cheri Pi:

Ah this Ardent collection is going on my hi-fi after work!
  Fri. 8/7/15 8:20pm Andrew:
