Avatar 6:28am fxo:

beware of an old reference to me and the date.
  6:48am Jack:

Hi Frank! We got power back Saturday afternoon. No electric for 5 days, but we were SO lucky. No-one hurt, no damage, basement didn't flood. It was cold without heat, but thankfully it wasn't colder. Hope you're OK, and thanks for brodacasting during this slow disaster.
Avatar 6:51am fxo:

Hang in there, Jack! Glad you're here.
Avatar 7:03am fxo:

Good to hear the music, frank! Generator > hard wired furnace = heat
  8:18am abby:

well we love you guys. as you know, the archives were up the whole time, and then the station bounced back ridiculously fast. i saw that photo of the hoboken resident on the bike, i didn't even realize it was ken b/c i was looking at it in the regular news. we know we have to have to help if wfmu is going to be there for us even if we can't pledge each time we're asked--we'd like to.
  8:19am Jeff:

Hope all fmu staff/listeners doing ok!
  8:20am abby:

glad you have heat jeff sorry you're not back to normal yet.
  8:22am Jeff:

NOT TO FORGET:
WFMU's Silent Fundraiser is still on, but we're segueing into Disaster Marathon Mode as we uncover more and more damage at our studios and transmitter sites, combined with an enormous loss we're taking due to the cancellation of the Record Fair. Because of the Hurricane damage, the silent drive has been extended and is going loud and proud. We are closing in on our October goal, but that doesn't even take the Hurricane damage or Record Fair loss into account. Make a pledge now and help WFMU recover from electrical, water and financial damage suffered during the Hurricane. Disaster or no, we have a great new Turntable T-shirt or holiday music compilation, WFMU's War on Christmas (featuring an exclusive unreleased mix of Big Star's "Jesus Christ", plus James Pants, Klaus Nomi and more).

  9:02am fxo:

I'll be back next Monday morning. Stay well.
