  1:30pm
Duane:

  1:33pm
Mugsy:

Broad range, eh? Keep on rockin' Duane!
  1:38pm
Jan Audun Uretsky:

You're welcome Duane!
  1:38pm
pierre:

I saw that movie; Caddyshack. I must admit I Totally fall aslepp, it seemed fun, but I got lost.
  1:39pm
pierre:

…I'll get it one day…
  1:40pm
Cecile:

pierre, that movie was a complete mess on and off the set. There are some classic bits, though.

I, for one, am still hopelessly addicted to Anchorman.
  1:41pm
Jan Audun Uretsky:

That's Barry White singing backup on this...
  1:41pm
Cecile:

WAIT
you played Stalk-Forrest Group and I missed it?
and it was on Eleckra, and not Rhino Handmade? wow.
  1:41pm
Duane:

Yes you're right..Dr. John on piano too!
  1:42pm
Jan Audun Uretsky:

Seriously I was just listening to Laurel Canyon the other day
  1:43pm
Cecile:

this sounds like Jim Morrison!
  1:44pm
pierre:

Anchorman, I get you Cecile. :)
and yeah, messy, is totally a term I would use to describe Caddyshack :)
  1:44pm
seang:

great movie too, Laurel Canyon
  1:52pm
Caryn:

Heh, just watched a Fox performance on youtube...

Connection btw Fox & Queen: Roger Taylor sang backing vocals on the Fox track "Survival".
  1:58pm
hollybee:

excops are dreamy. love love love.
  1:59pm
Mike East:

Laurel Canyon was good, not great, imho.

Caddyshack on the other hand is classic - though I'll admit messy. I don't think I even knew there was a plot the first ten times I saw it as a kid.
  2:03pm
Cecile:

Mike East, if you read anything about the making of Caddyshack, it seems like they had a script, the studio made them throw it out, and the filmmakers made it up as they went along.
  2:04pm
Droll:

NOONAN!
  2:04pm
Cecile:

Jon Peters made them put in a scene with both Chevy Chase and Bill Murray that wasn't in the script.

And it was a pretty big failure until it got to second run and cable TV.
  2:04pm
aCes:

So looking forward to Ex cops album. I was hooked the first time I heard 'Broken Chinese Chairs'
  2:05pm
Mike East:

ha, Cecile - I can totally see that.
  2:06pm
hamburger:

hello - is this a cover? my brain is mud
  2:06pm
Caryn:

I have to say, most times that I watch "Caddyshack", I tend to bypass the main plot and just watch the Bill Murray stuff. Because the plot? Totally ramshackle, and with reason, as Cecile pointed out.
  2:07pm
aCes:

Yes, this is a cover....damn can't place it
  2:07pm
Cheri Pi:

yeah this has to be a cover.
  2:07pm
Cecile:

this is altered images, right?
  2:08pm
tim from champaign:

Rodney Dangerfield's one liners slay me in Caddyshack. Also, Brian Doyle Murray is hilarious too.
  2:09pm
aCes:

Oh sh*t McCartney
  2:09pm
bennett4senate:

nice cover!!
  2:10pm
?:

I've been loving the set so far, but I think this song is completely unredeemable. Nothing against the band, I just think the laws of physics prevent it.
  2:11pm
aCes:

Hope they come to Chicago....I'm guessing SXSW for the album. ;)
  2:12pm
hamburger:

ouu it's a medley :) - wondering which the bit "happy birthday, no relation" bit was from
  2:13pm
tim from champaign:

How about Slapshot? Anybody dig that film? It features the Maxine Nightingale song "Back Where We Started" that reminds me of the chorus of the X Cops song before the MacCartney cover.
  2:14pm
Caryn:

Oh god, I thought I could be safe in not hearing the McCartney crap anywhere for at least a week. Dammit!
  2:15pm
Caryn:

@tim: I love "Slapshot"! Could watch it every day.
  2:15pm
Vvvv:

Shoot. Missed Fotomaker!
  2:15pm
Mike East:

I dug Slapshot, tim
  2:15pm
Andrew:

This remix is blowing my mind.
  2:18pm
Cecile:

slapshot is incredible.
  2:20pm
tim from champaign:

My wife is quite fond quoting the goalies penalty box explanation at the beginning of the film.
  2:21pm
Caryn:

Oh, and I see I missed the "Anchorman" talk. Adore that movie too.
  2:24pm
Jeremy Shatan:

I think the kids today would call this beat "sick."
  2:28pm
Andrew Waterloo:

When I rode the bus there was these two kids that I saw all too frequently and one of them seemed to say "yo! that's sick" and many variations involuntarily.
  2:31pm
Andrew:

Hound Dog brings it.
  2:33pm
hamburger:

I'm not sure, but I think 'gas' may be the new 'sick' or 'lame', I couldn't tell, all I heard was 'yo that girl is gas' 'he be gassin' 'that guy is pure gas' 'serious gas'. pretty sure it wasn't fart related.
  2:34pm
Vvvv:

CeDell Davis, man. Play some CeDell Davis.
  2:35pm
Cheri Pi:

Prince gogo!
  2:35pm
Andrew Waterloo:

I don't get out to the Hinterland too often anymore. I am pretty sure this place is still flooded with hipsters though.
  2:36pm
kata:

oh thank god I put my headphones back on in time !!
  2:45pm
Caryn:

Duane, thanks for Martha! You kept your promise!
  2:53pm
kata:

wow
  2:53pm
berlusconi's nose:

where's Irwin???
  2:53pm
Jeremy Shatan:

Hey if Jumpin' Jack Flash can be a gas gas gas, I suppose anything else could be.
  2:53pm
Jan Audun Uretsky:

Whoa, amazing
  2:53pm
Honey Water:

Wonderful harmonies!!
  2:53pm
Cecile:

wow.
  2:53pm
steve:

i think Irwin needs a hard copy of this
  2:55pm
Neg-guh-tor:

Duane that is hilarious! I'm coming to Tgiving with you next year.
  1:22pm
kat330:

@Duane re: Holiday Harmonies at the Harriott House in Harlem: *Really* special sharing this "5-H" with listeners -- thanks! :)
