Street interviews, listener call-ins, vinyl gluttery, sporadic normalcy, original floperas and fiktion, blatant talking over songs, politix, tenderness, and a vague undercurrent of angst. Right up your alley!

@fred-I don't find the genuine accents, all the many of them that are British. I really find annoying the fake and generalized accents Americans try to give when pretending/acting.

If there can be a "battle of the DJs" music event, why not a story event? And you could add amEdeo to that mix (probably more I'm just not familiar with in the FMU firmament).

Hi Dustyites! I was actually home earlier and tried to listen while eating, but my WFMU app kept cutting off--checking in on my "mainframe" computer now. I love Clay's accents, will listen to the whole story (and Fabio banter!) later!

Hey, Matt! If anyone can get Clay to magically appear here, you can! :)
  6:43pm
kat330:

Does anyone think this tale will have a happy ending, launching 2013 with a blithe beginning?
  6:44pm
Matt from Springfield:

Well, I say "Speak of the Matt.." but Clay might not be summoned so easily. Then again, with the "Magic of the Clay" I think I can cause him to summon himself! :)

The best thing for my post-partum holiday depression. Enough yuletide cheer and Santa Claus merriments. Candlelight and Poe-ish recants fill the rooms. HA HA HA HA!!

Clay - THANK you for making my evening in the office a much more enjoyable experience.

Great idea, kat330!

Always remember~!

I'm guessing CP is nervous about reaction/comments to something that is different from his usual shows, and therefore leery to be active on comments and expected to respond. He always says how insecure he is.

Don't be insecure, Mr CP :)

Will a ha'penny do, Matt?

This story was written on the night of Dec 30th. Read in basically one-sitting. January 1, 2013 I should have re-written it, but I decided to just play it. I want a Cigarette.

  6:57pm
Philo Gristle:

And Clay, as kat suggested earlier, a duel with Hearty White would be an EXcellent idea!
  6:57pm
kata:

Your craving will pass in a minute Clay... You wrote it ? Wow! You're a genius. I think it's great.
  6:58pm
kat330:

NOOOOOOO, the cigarettes are sucking away your confidence, Clay! I will give a full penny if you *don't* go have a cig!
  6:58pm
dinatekno:

Oh man! Clay AND Hearty White?!?!?!?! My glee would know NO BOUNDS!!!!
  6:58pm
Matt from Springfield:

@Clay: And remember: I very much like your dramas as well! Be sure to do some of those every once in a while.

And, if you're going to be out, could you *puh-lease* re-play the full "That Dirty Clown" episode? It's been gaining traction on FMU lately! :)
  6:59pm
QuiltMaker:

Stay strong Clay... the only way to get through the first few days is brute force!!
  6:59pm
G:

Starcastle lead vocalist doing his best Jon A. :-)

I first heard Starcastle in an editing room at CBN in Ann Arbor about 1977-78, where my roommate was program director or something. He knew I listened to prog, among other things, and the record company had been pushing Starcastle on college stations :-)

And if possible, Always Archive as well!

Have a good night, everyone!

  7:03pm
Matt from Springfield:

@Philo: Mollusk! You've updated an old Blockbuster line for the modern "Pigeon Age"!
  7:05pm
Philo Gristle:

@Matt Yet the story made me think Pigeon Age is medieval! Confucious is good.
