Listener comments!

  8:11pm Jim Shulman:

Many years ago John Lampert and I danced to this at one of Mike Devecka's record shows. He was mortified (it was still the 90s)
  8:23pm Billy Wrigley:

Please ask your antiquated guest if he likes Macklemore? I am four years old and can speak five languages and play three jazz instruments. My great grandpa left me a complete collection of Ellington Blu-discs in mint condition. Can you play one of the rarest 78 in existence like the Caurso Italian releases on Pathe? Thank you
  8:27pm dale:

i picked up a big crate of diamond discs for a buck at a farm auction a coupla years ago - still don't have a setup to hear them.
  8:37pm dale:

mac, i would LOVE to hear a show devoted to herbert khaury and his encyclopedic knowledge of tin pan alley stuff. you wouldn't even need to play him, just the songs he sang - like this.
  8:40pm brycepunk:

This show is so awesome! I love these old tunes and it's so rare to hear such a cool collection with such knowledge. Bravo!
  8:43pm dale:

well, she's dancing to the mooch, but not sure if it's correct dance...

  8:44pm Tom Gervat:

There are several inexpensive DVD copies of "Sunnyside Up" currently available on Ebay.
Nostalgia-mania all the way!
  8:45pm dale:

  8:49pm Rob Vrabel:

Go Dave,
Louisiana is unbelievable, great Bill Challis arr. and lots of Bix!
  8:51pm Zach:

I'm A Dreamer Aren't We All is a classic song from Sunny Side Up also
Janet Gaynor is great in that picture!
Avatar 8:53pm Mayuko:

Love this song, My Blue Heaven. There was Japanese version too in pre-war era!
  8:55pm Jim Shulman:

Mac, come to Philadelphia with your laptop! You can record me at my place, Dave A's place, and probably another one or two of us.
