That's right DCP@, you worked on a toity last year. i changed the flush-bar handle thingy and now it seems like it takes forever to fill up. how are the 2 related, or did i knock something around?

@ngh: I was out there after Christmas and the factory shell seemed in place, maybe 5-6 story size and hundreds of feet long, with a couple of cranes still up. I imagine it is set to open this year? I'll see more in July (family get together).

My uncle's backyard brick oven and hand starred for about ten seconds in a cable tv show where the Dogfish founder was mock-up demo-ing how Egyptians made beer from bread, and showing how that could still be done.

Dogfish Ale= perfection.

northguineahills:

That specific ale. Now, if I can find the rest of the ancient ales, I can return to Valhalla.
Avatar 3:36pm
dc pat:

Dogfish is good but a bit rough--little out of balance for my tastes.

Yeah, I ripped out a toilet and put a new one in. It was pretty easy really. If you have a slow drip and then it runs by it self, the flapper is the culprit. It's a $5 fix.

@Pi: not sure the flush bar thingy and the speed of the water coming in are related. Did you try opening the valve more?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:36pm

My guess would be that ramping up to wide distribution is a far harder beer business problem than finding a great beer recipe!

Avatar 3:40pm
Carmichael:

@Cheri: it depends on what type of float mechanism you have. I used to have the round ball on the end of a pole. My new float is wrapped around a bar and slides up and down with the water. Sometimes there's a hose that sends water into the tank, and that can kink or clog.

Toilet Talk.

Whenever the Dogfish 60 and 90 are offered at the same place, the pacing caution that we discussed in comments the other day always steers me to the 60. I need to make a nice evening moment for m'self this summer with a 90.

From just 2 Baxter Stowaway IPAs last night, I have the mild headache. I will meet friends downtown in two hours to undergo the reliable treatment.

@NGH: North Coast has some excellent ales. I just went to the brewery about a month ago. Very small place, actually, up in the middle of nowhere.
Avatar 3:46pm
Cheri Pi:

@Carms-there's no float at all, but there is a hose that goes into the "thing' with the flapper. You're saying I should have a few beers, then fiddle around w/ the hose?i accept!
Avatar 3:48pm

Might have landed a contract gig at a decent place, which means I'll be joining the beersies festivities shortly. It's like nasty summer out here so....... a strong Belgian, perhaps?

What does opening the valve more mean, DCP? i have a black mechanism on the left that looks like it's from starwars, and a central up and down thing in the middle, that's it!

People are on Craigslist from the west coast and other places advertising on VT Craigslist begging for VT beer. Especially the Heady Topper and Hill Farmstead. There must have been some travel/food show featuring these. It is ridiculous. Do they want these beers to be hip, or because they want the incredible beer. I have easy access to these beers and they are out of this world phenomenal. But to beg on Craigslist for them? Hmmn.
