most of pi's soundtrack is ambient and drum & bass from the late 90s, but there are a few clint mansell tracks on the track, as well.

If your caller ID says "consumer research" or something like that, that's prob why I didn't pick up.

it is-was-is a very quilty show leading to more quiet than words to inscribe! it is very much like being woven inside a moving quilt and being able to move gradually as a fabric-being throughout the multidimensional expanse.

I love that You Have Nowhere to Go show.
It made me watch THX again after many years and got me sort of obsessed with it for a while. Especially the wonderful Lalo Schifrin music and Walter Murch's immersive sound design.

Coming up in four minutes: BONUS CONTENT.

2012 will end, and we will be temporarily transported to a super-fast edit of "Children's Television Voteshop", originally from 2004, edited for a Frank O'Toole premium in 2007, and brought t oyou in...3 minutes!

Weird as I work w/ a bunch of retired NYPD officers. Oh, I have to go to court tomorrow morning for being cuffed at a July 4th party in Bed-Stuy for trespassing, since the landlord didn't have a rooftop accesss permit, even thought there was a wooden deck and multiple bbq grills on the roof. That song is from Mary's show though, not Rhoda's.

Phyllis' theme was really antiquated sounding.

Children's Television Voteshop is NOT going to be in the archive, but you can hear that full-length show at lastever.org... . It's different from what I'd make today.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:04pm
Matt from Springfield:

I like before show comments in general...you don't have to, but GTDR fans always seem to find shows that have yet to start with active comments, and participate.
Avatar 4:06pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Considering that Amanda's show is already on GTDR right before mine.... That means there are already two boards open (Duane and Amanda). Maybe three is too many!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:07pm
Matt from Springfield:

True, Amanda's can be responsible for before-show comments of this 4 hour "block" of live programming, and this show for after-block comments.
Avatar 4:07pm
Bliss:

Would you say your shows have more space now?
It struck me that way comparing that small 2004 sample to later stuff.
More nuance now too, perhaps?
Avatar 4:10pm
Kenzo (Ken's Last Ever):

Bliss: That was also a 6-minute edit of a long show. I rarely do edits (it was commissioned for a compilation). So, a lot of space that was there got sucked out!

I think 2004 was in a very focused period. I did almost NOTHING else but work on those shows (2003-2005). And, half of them were constrained to 30-minute blocks; so, I had to accomplish a lot in a little space.

possibilitywaves:

Thank you endlessly Ken and everyone in this quilt of minds and hearts! it is astonishing to think from the end of last year to now; i somehow wished to form a 64-hour-day calendar just a few days before 2013 began. "today" is part of the 103rd day of the year using this calendar.
