'Candy & a Current Bun' was of course originally 'Let's Roll Another One'...which version I think I might have actually heard somewhere...but just as likely hallucinated, of course...Psychedelic Stones...

There are confusingly many theories about Autism. One is that the different parts of the brain are functioning, but not communicating w/ each other. One takeaway from 'This Is Your Brain on Music' by Daniel J. Levitin is music uses more different parts of the brain than maybe any other activity. Just a rumination...

@Julie: This one for example has super-layered acoustic guitars that remind me of The Church's "Under The Milky Way".

Early morning to ya, KP!
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 4:55am

it's an atypical song for them but it's the first one that grabbed me
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:56am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:57am

This one is definitely the early 80s 4AD sound.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 4:57am

Stephen, who produces the albums and plays lead, is a big goth fan, so you can hear that influence along with the surfy twang. Very cramps
Avatar 4:59am
Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

...I think of this R.E.M. bio I read somewhere - it talks about them as people & their history - then Peter Buck discovering the 12-string Rick - & it's kinda goofy how it was written - like from personal matters to Buck having some profound revelation w/ this guitar - but that's actually kinda how it is!...

Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:08am

That's right - first week in October! That was the new fall schedule 3 years ago.

Happy Birthday/Anniversary Dark Night of the Soul, and Children of the Night! And of course the playlist itself, very goth--comments appear white on red of a still-beating heart when it's live, and when it closes the white on black of cold, eternal granite. Long Live Death!!

- Should I try & sleep more, or just start the day now & stay w/ FMU ?...
- Should I have a problem w/ this song because it 'glamorizes' meth (?) & the only long-term girlfriend I ever had ended up in Serernity Knolls where Jerry Garcia went to did because of it?...

Avatar 5:42am
fred von helsing:

There was an interwebz group for night flight but it's gone silent. I think most of that stuff never made it to dvd (or bittorrent), which is a damned shame. The best thing I saw on it was kate bush in concert at the hammersmith odeon. Just kate in a body stocking and wireless mike plus a handful of props and some other dancers for some of the numbers. Tremendous. So so tremendous.
Avatar 🦇 Swag For Life Member 5:43am

Before. But I'm a precog, what can I say.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 5:46am
Matt from Springfield:

@Julie: There are NO coincidences! Feeling the same wavelength in different places, this show! :)

@FVH: That was Kate's one '79 tour - logistical nightmare (24 costumes for 20 songs!!), but they say she was the first performer to use those now ubiquitous wireless mics.
