I remember one Christmas eve many moons ago as I was standing in a crowded Safeway grocery store and noticed not one, not ONE person was smiling. Not even with Christmas musak piping over the frozen food isle. Then and there I swore off Christmas. Now I celebrate it in July so things aren't so stressful. And no one questions why I scent my Christmas cards with peperonchini.
