I used to think this was the coolest tribute song ever back when Maria was a local celeb. She's sadly evolved into a typical Fox News reactionary through the years though. Still, great song. Joey's solo stuff always makes me a little sad, as it was so close to his passing.

- she's moving to Fox ! I hope she has the self-determination to speak her mind - which you;d think she would - but then she is about money...

@listener james, she's going to Fox.

jeez, the fox biz network is even more fictionally based than cnbc. better match, i guess.

Maybe once Joey passed, Maria lost her soul and had no qualms about selling out...

...Right-Wing so-called 'pro business' - get rid of the rules - 'Rising tide lifts all ships' stuff - which is why the Stock Market soars & everyone else is out of work & starves...or, given the 'rising tide' - should I say 'drowns'...maybe Maria would say do what's good for Biz, though, & stop the Govt. obstruction....anyhow...
  12:14pm

No one ever makes the point that every tide that comes in goes out.

Maria would recognize Cycles - but look: they did away w/ the rules put in after the Depression said the Banks can gamble w/ their own money - but not ours - then huge Bubble & - almost the end of our Economy! - Depression.2 - & the rules haven't been changed back - in fact, they got bailed out & are still very very rich...

No one reports the news anymore. Just the spin on how it will screw everything up and, besides, Roger Ailes ordered me to say this.

This is that version where Dave Edmunds proves that he can sing like a girl even better than Clarence "Frogman" Henry.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm
Doug Schulkind:

If only Joey Ramone had written a love song to Nate Silver. Now I would dance like a banshee to that sucker.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:19pm
Nate K:

Not to harp on Maria too much longer, but she takes vocal offense to any attacks on Wall Street at all, even sensible recommendations for reform. She's against all regulation, she thinks punishing banks and their CEOs is bad for business, etc. As Joey mentioned, though, she does have pretty eyes.
