I guess it really is Beat Beat - I just realized that...

poor kitty!

Robert:

Well, Danne, when I hear it, I try to fit the lyrics, "That little Nash Rambler went beep, beep, beep," or, "The road runner went beep, beep" to the music.
Avatar 7:06pm
Danne D:

Errand Date - a unique subset of bad date.
  7:07pm
Robert:

I also put in a few extra notes. I do that mentally with most music.

Danne D:

Aunt Bunny is from an Eddie Murphy skit I thought

Kidney trouble, BDGcat2?
  7:11pm
Robert:

I'm guessing urinary stones, not necessarily in a kidney.

Awww, I wuv cat stories. I may incorporate mine, Natalie Lewinsky, when I chat up women. My luck, they'll be dog women (ie, they like dogs. They're NOT dogs.). Wait, I wuv dogs too!

Robert:

Darn, no explanation of the IV.

Andrew Waterloo:

The last time I was out I felt I was out of line for thinking it was a date.
Avatar 7:27pm
Whooda:

I was immediately suspicious of the"sick" cat excuse, but the aquarium tubing and life vest show REAL commitment to the lie. That is why the cat's miserable, he's tired of living this lie.
  7:29pm
Robert:

Pussy cat's not miserable, just watching the bubbles move in the tube.
  7:32pm
Robert:

I hope there's something that feels good in that infusion, because otherwise there's no reward for getting shaved and getting a needle in a vein, which must be scary for pussy cat.

CZECHANO:

sounds like Igor should be telling this story
Avatar 7:34pm
Danne D:

oh man I had that happen once
Avatar 7:34pm
Danne D:

It wasn't go too well - I felt bad for asking about it
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:35pm
Andrew Waterloo:

First dates can be so shallow. It's OK if you have cancer, but I can't date you if you mention it on the first date.
Avatar 7:35pm
Whooda:

Give me a morphine drip and I'll bark like a dog and crawl on my belly like a reptile if that's what it takes to get it. Reward enough.

wow. re: amandas no hand date story.
you guys are so shallow lacking in empathy its, like, totally epic.
Avatar 7:41pm
Danne D:

For the record my date that day didn't seem to be seeking empathy. *shrug*
Avatar 7:41pm
herb.nyc:

Both are at fault. Guy shoulda told of his missing hand and woman shoulda asked. I think it's kinda obvious. Let me ask Natalie Lewinsky.
Avatar 7:41pm
Nick the Bard:

I'd give a bad date story, but i need to get "A" date in the first place ever :/
  7:42pm
robin:

i kinda think amanda is a dick. i dated a guy with one hand, and on the first date grabbed his hands to hold hands and one was the stump, and I just kept holding his stump like it was a hand. he said that was pretty much the coolest thing a girl had done on a first date.
  7:44pm
listening listener:

@colin No empathy? What ?! The issue was not the missing appendage, but hiding it til several hours in. And there was the cancer-dude example provided as the full disclosure, honesty example.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:44pm
Andrew Waterloo:

@robin I agree, Same with the garbage can story, the guy is nervous, he's getting to know you, why not just put it in that context?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:45pm

A cliffhanger!!! OK, you got me, I'll check out The P-cast...better be good

Wow, Dave is back?
Avatar 8:05pm
Ange:

We are asking about the cat, and will let you all know soon if she's OK.
  8:06pm
Robert:

Years ago I used to listen to Dave Emory with interest, albeit criticizing his method of saying person or group A is linked in some way to B and inferring the TYPE of link. Well, finally, recently he talked in such a manner about people I know, and I know their relationship was not as he made it out. So I'll still listen to him, but only to laugh at.
