"I listened yesterday. It's no reflection on you but I could'nt see where you were going or what you were going for. This early seventies thing did'nt get noticed the first time and you talk about friends of like Dealney and Bonnie who had records out like we're supposed to remember who they are. Then you play this long winded free jazz stuff that really grates on my nerves. And that noise without a beat and sounds like someones being pinched. Then you play a reggae song, I think you called it Dub, to what, be cool? You seem to really fetishize the whole folk thing too which is obnoxious to us who don't even care. I liked it when you played that punk song though. I like Joe Belock a lot." (Visit homepage.)

Hiya, John Allen, and good morning. Mr. Ratzer is in fine form this am.

Hi all, This week I've been buying Mickey Newbury vinyl on ebay. Just waiting for the post now.

bibi:

hi all.
nice, this fraser track was exactly not like getting trapped in a stuffed bear for 13 days.

John Allen:

andrew, here's one rarely seen, since his stuff was not kept in print into the 80s. Go for it/ let me know how it s www.discogs.com...

John Allen:

wow, how does that guy pee inside the bear?
Avatar 6:41am
bibi:

i like where this track goes.
he got some pee box. and a 'solid' version of it.
he s cheating, he got some books.
so weird to see people hanging around next to the bear...
Avatar 6:43am
John Allen:

somehow the thrill of standing right up close to a bear is lost knowing some conceptual guy is hanging inside. I guess that's part of the point, but still...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:44am
AndrewC.:

Thanks John, I might just do that.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:45am
Sem Chumbo:

@bibi: oh, oh. Looks like a whole new category opening up for the Guinness people: longest stay inside a stuffed....giraffe, for instance.
Avatar 6:49am
bibi:

@sem true, you ve been stuck in these few giraffe pixels for ages. from my point of view at least.

Emile:

Hey John. Allen-heads.

bibi:

fyi, he s making some tea now.
ok, john, i stop it now. i promise.
Avatar 7:51am
Alessia:

That looks boring as hell. If I was him I would pass the time pranking people around and trying to scare the shit out of them.

G'morning JA, been listening and enjoying the show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:42am

Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:45am
Sem Chumbo:

JA, your show's has been a fine counterpoint to the rather dreary tasks at hand here. Thanks very much:)

Paul-berlin:

Faith global?!?! U must be a genius! I thought i was the only person on the planet with this album!
Avatar 9:01am
John Allen:

hah. sorta spotty LP, but that track is my favorite
  9:08am
Paul-berlin:

True, but i had to get it back in the day due to the Ultravox (original line up, of course) connection.
Avatar 5:09am
guglielm:

This is <A Shadow and Its Shadow> by the Renderers, not <Million Lights>
Avatar 6:07am
guglielm:

And the Sympathy Nervous track is <Cabaret Voltaire>, not <Cold Weather>
