Robert:

Why, oh why, did I never before realize the reason for the snarkiness in many of the comments Ange gets: the lead-in. We're in a certain mood after 7SD.

Just to remind you guys - I ask that you be respectful of my guests and me. Bullies get censored and blocked during this show.

CockTails42:

it would be illuminating to hear perspectives from young women who are from immigrant families….interesting to find out which of their outlooks/concerns are similar and or different from the mostly non-immigrant women portrayed on this show...

There were bullies? Here?

The podcast often has better material than the radio show ;)

I had to leave and am almost finished listening to the archive now. Are you saying that half of the show didn't air, and instead you had something with Randy instead?

Greg from Bloomfield:

That was amazing. Amazing and horrifying.

Oh God ANOTHER poor-little-rich-girl story, more exoticization and titillated demonization of working class men...at least the rampant snobbery is becoming explicit and self aware rather than just implicit...

Andrea!! I just discovered the show a few months ago and I'm slightly obsessed. I've been working through them, and this one just made me so sad. I wish there had been a disclaimer or something of the sort. Yes, no doubt about it, the guy was bad - alcoholism, lying cheating, drug addiction, being part of a gang, the stalking... but the condescension over his lack of opportunities?? His education level?? His illegal status, without any sort of thought to the context of his life in El Salvador? I'm hoping I understood her wrong when she said someone of her higher class socioeconomic background would not stalk her for 7 years. Really?? So much for her grasp of social justice.

On a more positive note, I love the show and you have a dedicated listener. Thank you!!
