I saw Buffalongo at the Fillmnore East, back in the early early '70's.

Morning, Bob!
  9:54am P-90:

Wild Horses! one of the all-time greats, I had completely forgotten that Parsons and the Burrito Brothers had done this version-- that came out first!
  9:59am Jim Duffy:

Charlie Haden, what a great voice on the bass. He made another album of spirituals with Hank Jones, called "Steal Away." Great stuff.
  9:59am Jack:

1968 Canned Heat and the Chipmunks, "Christmas Time"

  10:12am William:

I believe the Stones cut their version in Muscle Shoals in late '69.
  10:14am P-90:

@William: yes I believe it was part of those sessions, but because Sticky Fingers took so long to come out, the Burritos got theirs out first...
  10:17am Jack:

One of the best covers of a Beefheart song.
  10:23am listener monica:

hot summer night in sausalito is still playing in my head.
Avatar 10:23am kat330:

I'd never heard that Osborne cover of the Cap'n -- thanks, Bob! I adore Joan and Don and loved her version. Only would have wanted it a bit less produced.
  10:25am William:

P-90 you are totally correct. Just questioning the "original" version criteria. Recording date or release date?
  10:27am Jim Duffy:

Laura Nyro, the inimitable.
  10:32am Dano59:

Hey, I happen to LOVE 'The Hot Spot' - not just the soundtrack. Ya gotta respect the Johnson when he's good.
  10:43am William:

Wow, "Marvel Group"! What a treat Bob!
