By coincidence, "Boardwalk Empire" wrapped up last Sunday. Got about 2 seasons in but it just couldn't stay on my radar. It always feels less than the sum of its parts to me.
  Tue. 10/28/14 6:08pm Dean:

There ought to be a law against Prohibition! Oh, there is. http://21st-amendment.com/
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/28/14 6:08pm Doug Schulkind:

I've never seen Boardwalk Empire, but Steve Buscemi once came to a party at my house. (I slept through it, however.)

Sticking with the period pieces, jeff g.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/28/14 6:14pm listener james from westwood:

My mom's dad mentioned knowing bootleggers way back in 20s NYC, hiding liquor in fake panels of autos. He said he met Bugs Moran once, but he may have been confusing him with Bugsy Siegel. This is not something you'd bring up to either of them.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/28/14 6:16pm Doug Schulkind:

That comment really Bugs me, LJFW.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/28/14 6:17pm listener james from westwood:

What I do know is that his wife must've loved the era, bc she kept her hair flapper-short to her dying day.
@Doug: Only a Moran would take offense.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/28/14 6:18pm listener james from westwood:

I will say this for "Boardwalk": The music was always a treat.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/28/14 6:20pm Gary:

Geez, what was the 66th Congress drinking?

You're an hour earlier at the moment ! ( Must remember on Friday )
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/28/14 6:50pm listener james from westwood:

I didn't know corrido music went back this far. The opening sounded A LOT like the narcocorrido tune the folks at "Breaking Bad" commissioned for an opening video montage of one episode. No hay cristal en ésta canción.
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/28/14 6:50pm Doug Schulkind:

And here's Part 2...
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/28/14 6:51pm listener james from westwood:

Heh, getting a reunited A/B in the mix. Musical multitasking!
Avatar Swag For Life Member Tue. 10/28/14 6:52pm Doug Schulkind:

I take no credit, LJFW, the two tracks came stitched (poorly) together.
