Is that a joke about Scott Williams? What's going on with him?!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:33pm

Civic Duty Williams is hopefully listening to this wonderful show as he awaits a court decision of some kind. Thanks for filling in Ira! Loving the show!

I thought Scott said he had jury duty. If not... good luck, Scott!

There's no need to be circumspect about it, Ira. We know S.W. is a natural outlaw. I imagine that an attempt to "improve" Jersey City's sourdough bread supply with a dose of psilo-caninium-slobberanium ended in disaster.
  3:42pm
JakeGould:

Ike, was there some bread discussion? And hello Ira the K.

Aislers Set! Great. This song takes me back to SF in 2003 right after a traumatic breakup. The album its entirety helped me, I seem to remember.

Canada held their 102nd Grey Cup last night. It was the Calgary Stampeders vs. the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. I'm sure Bronwyn & Jim will have more info after this show.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:10pm
Gaylord Fields:

I have a day off work today, and I'm enjoying this show so much that I'm watching Adam-12 on mute! This Montgomery Express song makes an unsurprisingly good soundtrack for the exploits of Malloy and Reed.
  4:11pm
JakeGould:

“Calgary Stampeders vs. the Hamilton Tiger-Cats” Grey Cup? What is that? A lead up to “The Extremely Modest Bowl?”
  4:11pm

Eric Bloom is 70. That's crazy.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:16pm

The same thing goes for Messiaen and ads for life insurance for seniors. Ira, are you programming this as a Me-TV simulcast?

Joe B:

Ha! yes Chris! better than the Wizard of Oz with Pink Floyd!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm
Sem Chumbo:

@JakeGould: The Grey Cup is a marathon reading of the work of Spalding Grey, interspered with quarters of touch football, with a twist. As in hockey---in which the puck is always frozen solid before play, the Ti-Cats and Stamps play with a football chilled to -41--- F or C, at that temperature, there is no difference.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:23pm

Awesome show this morning, Joe! My goddamn job prevented me from commenting as it was happening; will need to go back to catch The Blind Shake, too...

The problem in JC is when people wriggle out of jury duty, the judge says, OK you are dismissed from here but can report next door to the civil suit grand jury for the next 6 weeks! Oh, and thanks Chris

@Greg, but it does make great daytime teevee!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 4:45pm

Evening. Was that the Nots that *was* just Live on Nate the K (Ira's sib - ??) - ??
...Defense Attorneys for innocent people hope sane people *will* take jury duty...who knows how much of the Truth they'll tell you though? Highly dubious. A lynch mob is a Democracy - it's true. Democracy is no guarantee on its' own. Even w/out a guarantee, however, prices have recently fallen...When I was a total Newbie to Comments - it was around Xmas & I was drinkin' wine (spodee-oh) - & commenting about *completely* different streams altogether a leetle bit - so worse has happened...Why am I not subscribed to Mojo again - ??...
