Listener comments!

P-90:

G'morning. Is this red less blinding than usual, or does it just look a tad more subdued on the particular device I'm listening to today? Or has "the Dance with me Stanley experience" simply left my senses dulled?

BEAVO:

It's a Chrystler Inferno red

BEAVO:

Like my 300m

Jeffrey Davison:

Yeah, I should probably change this red...
  6:24am
Cooh John:

G' morning P-90. Perhaps Jeffrey's music has assuaged your senses.
Avatar 6:26am
BEAVO:

I like it
  6:30am
Mark:

Love the way you ease us into Saturday mornings, Jeffrey. Another great show so far!
  6:30am
P-90:

Like a jerk I forgot I could just check the color against previous playlists. It's the same. I say: keep it. I just always found it a little startling after being lulled into a pleasantly cannabis-like haze by Bill Mac. Now, following DJ Stashu, maybe "anything goes"...!

@"Chrysler Inferno Red": Far-fuckin'-out, Man!
Avatar 6:32am

Stashu sounded even more medicated than usual.

More of a crimson
Avatar 6:35am
BEAVO:

Like the cover of King Crimson's Discipline album
  6:37am
P-90:

Definitely Crimson. On the desktop Mac I usually use, it looks a little more "Fiesta Red." Gotta check the color calibration on that baby.
Us Scorpios loves us some crimson. Just ask resident astrologer Revolution Rabbit. When he pops out of his hole.

Sean in Bristol, UK:

Morning Jeffrey, hello one and all.
Avatar 6:40am
BEAVO:

Fender fiesta red not as dark.
  6:41am
P-90:

"Discipline": with each passing decade, more and more one of my absolute all-time faves. I saw them perform all of it at a little club in Times Square the week the album came out.

I just got this Frisell Cd,brilliant, His version of Link Wrays Rumble kills.
  6:43am
Cooh John:

Not tired of this music. Nice
  6:45am
P-90:

Frisell is peaking, his work has been amazingly consistent for a few years now. Everything he does is a "clicky-star". IMhO.

Wow I lived in LA when they played The Roxy on that Tour but was Out of town, saw the Beat tour in 82 at the Greek.

Hello Jeffrey.

Greetings Sean. Cold enough for you?

P-90 Crimson had an album called Red?
Avatar 6:48am
BEAVO:

I Agree, got em all since Is that You?

Morning, Jeff, morning, morning people.

Red, Another classic,Wetton Bruford linup
  6:50am
P-90:

It was (I think) the fourth-ever show with that line-up, they had just done 3 nights in Boston. Speaking of the Roxy on the Strip, a "Brand X" show there was one of the best concerts I've ever seen...
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51am
Bas NL:

Hello Jeff! Hello All! Very nice sounds!
Avatar 6:52am
BEAVO:

Brand X! That was music!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:53am

Martin Stone in Mighty Baby went on to playing in Chili Willy & the Red Hot Peppers with Phil Lithman. On it goes.

Just had to check Wiki to confirm that Martin Stone had also been in The Action, the Mod band that begat Mighty Baby. He was. Some guys really get around.

P-90 Chili Willy were wonderful. Saw them in '74.

>Pop!< ...Guten Tzag. Yes - if you see someone in black & deep red (I thot pomegranate here - but y'all probably know better...) ask if they have ♏Scorpio in their chart (it's not just your Sun Sign / birth month...too complicated for fast pleasantries...)
- DJ JD up to his fabulous standard...

Hmmm Pomegranate got any grenadine.

This page's red is about my fave red, crimson eh? Just a bit darker than a fire truck red, right?
Avatar 7:50am

Basho had an honest voice, sometimes eerie. And Skip James had some voice too.
Avatar 8:06am

are the police sirens contained within this song or is there something going on in my neighborhood?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 8:07am

In the song...maybe it was the police who were returning to Stapleton Road.

Sad to hear the news Gravenhurst/Nick Talbot has died, too young. I think I first heard him on Irene Trudel's show about a decade ago. A wonderful sound.

Wow, an old Finnish song

Saw Dylan's Tuesday show at beacon... His voice sounded better than it has in years, skipped the obvious tunes and the band ripped it up... He's still got it...
