"Shipbuilding" was specifically written for Wyatt by Costello, so the latter's version is more like a cover than Wyatt's, if you get me...
And you'd almost have thought Mazzy Star wrote this for Mascis, it )works so well.)

@Swazey Could've been March '68 calyx.perso.neuf.fr...
except that would've been Kevin Ayers on bass.
If it was definitely Hopper on bass then it would have been July '71 at the Gaslight, shortly before Wyatt got ejected from the band. Lucky you, in either case!!

Vomir caused some controversy on one of our local college radio stations. Someone called in and asked if they were off the air because all they could hear was static. The programmer was told not to play "Harsh Noise Wall" anymore and he quit the station. Big rage in our noise community.

Avatar Swag For Life Member 10:35am

So if the 128k MP3 stream is glitchy for you, try plugging this:

stream1.wfmu.org...

into your VLC or iTunes or whatever's your favorite network music player. That stream is served via a whole different network path to a whole different server out in Internet-land, and there will be different (and for some people, better) states of network congestion along the route.

If the regular main stream (this one)

stream0.wfmu.org...

works okay for you, though, it should actually sound slightly better because of better-sounding hardware in the chain.
