	11:08am David Hidalgo: Gracias Joe. It was horrific and involved an industrial winch. It took me years of therapy, tequila, and self reflection to come to terms with it, but I have and now use it as wellspring and it has been the inspiration for many of my most romantic songs.

It wasn't a winch; David's "uncle" (actually his mother's second cousin,) Julio Cortes, was injured, but the accident involved an athletic supporter and a lathe. And injuries were not so severe, the union had him back on the factory floor (in a job that could be done from a wheelchair) just a week later.
