@MarcelM The origins of the term "acid house" remain mysterious. A lot of early UK adherents assumed it had something to do with LSD (and experimented accordingly, before discovering MDMA to be more suitable). Some of the Detroit/Chicago originators claimed it wasn't drug-related, but came from the street slang "acid burn", meaning to rip off (meant in the sense of sampling sounds).
