Sorry Irene, got to throw in a bit of baseball, five hits off 'The Dark Knight', the cheek of it from The Phillies. Promise I won't mention the beautiful game again during the show!

Circus Maximus ... oh that brings back memories - not to mention flashbacks
  9:24pm

Heaven indeed! I'm at the limits of the FM signal, always listened on a tuner, with a ground wire, stuck in a potato.....

Welcome will, Dean, Hugh and melinda! Thanks for all the radio-love. We all do what we can to tune in. Van, I don't expect that KT video before next autumn. You know they have to labor over every detail! ;)

Japan / David Sylvian would seem to go pretty good with this set actually. So would some obscure Sally Oldfield :D

Very, very nice set, DJ Irene. A pleasure to be along for the ride.

Folks, is 91.1FM solid for other folks? On my side in Brooklyn (Bay Ridge) it seems staticish with some local interference, but not too sure if that is just me or something else.

Folks - the Sallyangie from the Oldfields - Mike & Sally... that was when they were teenagers, and was their very first effort at recording. Talk about obscure! And Irene caught it! Wow. I am completely amazed. I will be donating more to FMU in her honor.
  10:06pm
Hugh:

91.1 is being stepped on, it's range has been drastically cut. I'm about 25-30 miles, south of the transmitter, the signal used to extend another 30 miles south, no longer, now. FMU is only 1,500 watts.
  10:07pm
JakeGould:

@Hugh: So you mean that in the last day or so 91.1FM has been spotty for you?
Avatar 10:10pm

Okay, I will definitely be donating more to FMU in Irene's name tomorrow. Minimum Mouse of The Day pledge. Ya'll all join me, k? www.wfmu.org...

Great show Irene! Nice Herbie Hancock. And for some reason now the signal seems a bit better. Before I was getting some local interference every few seconds it seems. Don’t know if that was just me or something else.

This ...Midnight sounds great. Looks like I missed a good show but was seeing a great Dylan show instead. Highly recommended, I must say. Catch you on the archive Irene!

Hey B, rsj and Jake, glad the signal's reaching you okay. Santos, I think seeing Dylan was a good excuse for missing the show. How was he?

Santos, that's good to hear. My husband & I passed on Dylan this time because he had been more erratic than ever the last couple of times we've seen him. Wow, manuel! Ah, Arch Obler! Lights Out? I don't really remember what he sounded like.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:46pm

Oh, Van, those appearances were a couple of years ago. I'm hoping they'll get him back. I don't know if I'll be able to snag him for WFMU but I'll try.

Aw, P-90. I did unfortunately hear that about Percy. No time to play something tonight. Maybe one of the daytimers here?
  11:51pm

This reminds me a little of Jack Cassidy's narration of the classic Night Gallery segment "The Last Laurel"
Anyone remember it?
Avatar 11:55pm

Google "Daughter live Air Studios" :)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 11:55pm

No, I don't remember him on Night Gallery unfortunately. I'll bet it's on You Tube somewhere. On that note-- Good night everyone! Thanks for tuning into tonight's meandering show.

A show of epic proportions, Irene, the penultimate set was out of this world, loved the tracks from Daughter and Public Service Broadcasting. Goes without saying, Becca and Steven, I worship the ground you walk on! Folks, you have to see Steven Wilson!
