Ugh! I wish I could see Ufomammut, Chris! Enjoy it! I'd go if it didn't require the full cost of DeathFest tickets - I just moved, so I'm low on ca$h.
I only got to see Testament and Ministry because my shop promotes Fillmore shows and we get tickets comped.

Cheri Pi:

Big 4 plus Exodus and Testament! new Peer Pressure interview question, who from the Big 4 would you want to kick out and who would you replace them with?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:33pm
coe:

The usal Big 4 Slayer/Metallica/Anthrax/Megadeth and then include Testament and Exodus. I think for all of us that like Thrash the first time around those other two bands were just pretty damn close to being as big as the other 4 if not as big. In my opininon their lack of "mainstream" success tends to exclude them from the mix but for an old thrash head they are just as relevent.
  12:33pm
Walter / Roadburn:

SubRosa was indeed one of THE HIGHLIGHTS of Roadburn - there was such a huge line of people trying to get in Het Patronaat.

@Cecile Fields of the Nephilim were really special to me... Though Enslaved's set on Friday was stunning, too! The same goes for Skuggsjá. Plus, Goatwhore were simply killer.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm
coe:

I think we alwasy had a soft spot for Anthrax because of the whole NY thing along with the mega geekdom they potrayed. They played up their comicbook horror movie thing as well as their sense of humor more then the other 3 and that's what sucked us in. Plus we knew people who knew them so it made it a little more connectable for me and my friends.
Avatar 12:57pm
Cecile:

Man, I keep missing Enslaved. What do Skuggsja sound like?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 12:57pm

I'd say its all edgy, but very ethereal, Cecile. Its the music of an early morning swim in a mountain lake.
  12:58pm

Talk abou thrash: Exodus' Bounded by Blood is a stone cold classic - the same goes for Testament's The Legacy.
