News flash: lots of dudes will click on the article which says that their sloppy ass is somehow still attractive.

Another news flash: old dudes making editorial choices in newsrooms will also gravitate toward this "story".

Is Holly Wood putting straw wrappers in a guy's bun comparable to the way the Prime Minister of New Zealand can't resist grabbing women's ponytails?

(Answer: no, not really.)

i used to like dating. it was fun and exciting; but i've chosen to close that department- indefinitely.
...and i'm getting older and losing my options (though i don't think i have a dadbod),but i don't seem to care.

Often if some seemingly-small detail completely drives you away, it's because it resonates unpleasantly with a memory of someone you've known before and had trouble with.

It might be unfair, or it might actually be close to prescience. One of the things you learn over time is recognizing personality traits which are likely to lead to a relationship train wreck - and yes, clues might often be in small-seeming matters of personal style which nonetheless give an insight into how the person thinks (or maybe doesn't, so much).

That's quite the Catch-22. Not good at talking and not likely to get a chance to practice talking.

Yeah I had a couple of seemingly promising dates recently but had a lot of trouble gauging my own flirtatiousness. Prob. went too conservative. Oh and SMALL of back, HELL no.

Ken From Hyde Park:

Going to a movie on a first date: good plan or not? I suppose it depends on the personalities involved. I get bored with movies, so it wouldn't work well for me.

Callie:

I've weirdly experienced both sides, and I know I was encouraged to date more traditionally attractive people before transitioning than after. Now society isn't telling me that I'm as "entitled" to or should expect the same types of bodies. So that's weird to experience.

I totally encourage the koalafications line

Being trans can feel like a HUGE handicap.

A handicap and an incentive to harm us. Annoying AND scary

Melba toast just left on the ground would have probably been OK. Ants & pigeons would eat it up. If it were plastic wrappers you had dropped, that's something you'd definitely want to pick up.
