Favoriting Brian Turner: Playlist from May 19, 2015 Favoriting

Order and disorder in a freeform haze of terribly-played guitars, shorted-out electronics, found audio detritus, strange sounds from strange lands all around. Psych-punk-junk, collage, even pop. Lots of in-studio live performances to boot.

Brian that Uniform show was absolutely arresting, it really made my bummer of a summer do a complete 180 degree turn.

Obnox sounded and played great too.
Can't thank you enough for all the damage.

Thanks Risky, you weren't the guy who thanked me for the show in lieu of his going to find a bag of coke were you?

Man I would love to see Obnox again - they played to like three of us (plus the opening bands) last time, so Bim is probably not in a hurry to get back here.

@Brian I'm sorry if I hugged/touched or embraced you after the show. I was very emotional after that shitshow too place, and drunk as nuts.
  3:40pm
JakeGould:

@Nucosme: I haven’t but will since that sounds interesting. Stopped listening to the WTF podcast eons ago when I became sick of Maron ragging on ex-girlfriends/partners as a regular schtick. Don’t care what he says about his therapy; that guy is an angry bitter man.
Avatar 3:40pm
Cheri Pi:

whoa he certainly left his mark on Shriekback
Avatar 3:42pm
Nucosme:

@JakeGould: yeah, I'm pretty selective with the guests of his that I listen to. I don't listen to his monologues especially, but he's gotten quite good at interviewing subjects that he has an authentic appreciation for. Byrne falls into that category.
