Favoriting June 16, 2015: R.I.P. Sir Christopher Lee
Morricone Island pays a film music tribute to Sir Christopher Lee, the Master of Horror, who passed away at the age of 93 on June 7. Lee was best known as Count Dracula in the Hammer Horror Films but his career spanned nearly nearly 70 years with over 250 film and television credits including those of Lord Summerisle in 1973's The Wicker Man, Bond villain Francis Scaramanga in The Man with the Golden Gun, Count Dooku in the Star Wars series, and Saruman in the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies. He will be missed but fortunately his work will live on forever.

HEYO! FYI there is a Christopher Lee Tribute screening in Seattle this Weekend Friday June 19 - The Horror of Dracula plays at Midnight at the Egyptian. www.siff.net...

Revolution Rabbit Nov63:

Thot I read he had more acting credits than anyone else - but websearch only brought up he was in the Guninness records for his height as an actor - 6'5". The many links on fb tell of a genuinely remarkable life; much of what he did in WWII is *still* classified!

the devil rides out is really good at building tension until the moment when SPOILERS
the ridiculous "goat of menses" (or something like that) shows up.

Sir Chris himself appeared in "Airport 77."

love this lulu song. but i think a lot of folks think it's the worst bond theme ever. peter cushing had that superflous third nipple in that one.

MEANT mr. lee..... my bad.

V Priceless:

How on earth did the Alice Cooper group's "The Man With The Gokden Gun" not make the cut into that film?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 7:40pm
Ike:

That's not the worst Bond theme, but it might be the worst Bond movie overall. Christopher Lee didn't get much interesting to do.

Lovely show. Also I finally watched “The Four Musketeers” (after watching “The Three Musketeers” months ago) and damn… That’s a good film.

my first car was an amc hornet hatchback with the X package - that's the same car joey chitwood drove over that spiraling ramp in that film. i never tried it though

“The main villain and assassin who is identified by his use of a golden gun; he also has a ‘superfluous areola,’ or supernumerary nipple.”
  7:52pm
JakeGould:

@Dale: Yes, but “Starship Invasions” was bad.
  7:54pm
JakeGould:

Thank P-90 for this info: FYI, Devon the thing with “The Three Musketeers” as well as “The Four Musketeers” is both films were filmed as one HUGE film. But then they decided to split it into two features. So it’s not reusing footage as much as they filmed a 4 hour movie and decided cleaving it in half was the better way to release it… But the actors only got paid for one movie… And thus new contract rules for actors in films that cover sequels were born.

Fab tribute, Devon! Thanx!

Funny Devon how calls them "Danny Elfman films," instead of "Tim Burton films." Got our priorities straight here...
