Morricone Island highlights the work of Icelandic film composers with an obvious focus on the scores of Hilmar Örn Hilmarsson (a frequent collaborator with director Fridrik Thor Fridriksson, Bjork, Psychic TV, Current 93, Sigur Ros and Sugarcubes singer Einar Örn and guitarist Guðlaugur Kristinn Óttarsson), as well as a sampling of scores by Ólafur Arnalds, Johann Johansson and Atli Orvarsson.

That letter is "thorn". It's equivalent to runic "thurisaz", Thor's letter.

I only ever got to see a few scenes of Cold Fever in a documentary but one that has stuck with me for years is the one where the Citroen DS is started and shakes itself out of the ice like some creature from the Pleistocene. (they had hydro-pneumatic suspension)

Another excellent hour, @DJ Devon. A "part 2" would be great, especially with a guest who could help illuminate some of the background on Icelandic films and scores. This show has quickly proven an invaluable addition to the station IMHO.
