Lately (the week or so) there's been times when I get a lot of static for a minute and then it's o.k. again. I'm in Florham Park, NJ where the signal is usually pretty strong.

Agent Orange was DuPont, and they objected to its use in warfare.
Avatar 2:38pm Joe B:

From 1965 to 1969, Monsanto was one of nine wartime government contractors who manufactured Agent Orange.
  2:41pm Nate K:

Awww, thanks man!
  2:42pm Dean:

I thought Agent Orange showed up c.1979 in Fullerton.
Avatar 2:43pm Joe B:

through the 'pipeline'!
  2:46pm Nate K:

Look, Monsanto might have given us Agent Orange, but you can't blame TSOL on them at least.
Avatar 2:47pm Joe B:

ha!
  2:50pm Anonymous coward:

There’s little if any science behind the current freak outs over GMOs, there may be concerns but they are not with the modification process itself.

The legit concerns with GMOs are that some of the purposes for which they are developed are pretty suspect. For instance roundup ready corn means dumping more roundup onto crops for a longer period.

There’s nothing inherently different between genetically modifying a plants DNA on the molecular level and simply breeding it over time for the traits you want. The best analogy I’ve heard is that it’s like working with a scalpel as opposed to a sledgehammer.
Avatar 2:52pm Joe B:

i think the concern with this LP is the way Monsanto has patents on seeds, bullies/rips off farmers etc. same corporate evil, different setting
Avatar 2:52pm Joe B:

point being, perhaps any good or non issues with GMOs are obscured by corporate greed policies
Avatar 2:54pm PKNY:

Unexpected Sabbath cover!
  2:55pm Dean:

Speaking of GMOs and Sabbath, I only learned this weekend about Mac Sabbath.
Avatar 2:55pm V Priceless:

just watch this Bill Maher "New Rule" on meat labeling: www.facebook.com...
Avatar 2:56pm V Priceless:

thanks Joe! Rockin' show! Long Live Rock...and Summer!
Avatar 🎸 Swag For Life Member 2:56pm Ken From Hyde Park:

My food advice: Support your local farmers' market. Nice show, today, Joe. See you next time.
  3:00pm Anonymous coward:

correct on that joe, also add in corprate conosolidation and market capture (often throuhg free trade deals) you have a situation wehre like 5 compaines control the entire worlds food supply. Scary shit. but the "frankenfood" argument distracts from these very real issues.
