The program formerly known as Dinner at Andy's, The Fuzzy Glove Hour, Whores, and The Happiness Hut. Ken and Andy, also known as The Enema Boys, further lower WFMU's already abysmal standards on a weekly basis. Stunt radio which subjects the radio audience to concepts and topics which mature adults should not have to endure. Find the fatal flaw. (Visit homepage.)

spodiodi:

Why do they even keep this slot?
Avatar 🚂 6:02pm
Nick the Bard:

because they love you.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:03pm
Julie:

I thought this was live, stork has been there nonstop last two days I think
  6:03pm
Listener Robert:

Or because Jim Price doesn't love us enough.
  6:04pm
JakeGould:

I like these folks! Anyone who thinks otherwise? Keep your opinion to yourself.
  6:04pm
spodiodi:

Wednesday 6-8pm wasteland
  6:05pm
Listener Robert:

You posted it 1st Julie, but instead I put up the wisecrack above. I think it's a fake rerun. That version of James Bond's theme sounded unfamiliar.
  6:05pm
spodiodi:

I'll keep mine if you retract yours. Do we have a deal?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:05pm
Marcel M:

I'm happy for the reruns. Give 'em a break. Also, I need that free sub! Last word tonight.
  6:06pm
Listener Robert:

And they got shills to pretend they were phone calls from 20 yrs. ago.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:07pm
Julie:

I'd like to hear Stork and Thomas do a show
  6:08pm
Listener Robert:

And Ken deliberately left in the phone number (which he would ordinarily delete) to convince us.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:08pm
Marcel M:

Nick, I listened to an archive the other day and heard a 10 years ago you, I think.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm
Marcel M:

Is that possible?
Avatar 🚂 6:09pm
Nick the Bard:

which archive?
  6:09pm
JakeGould:

@NicktheBard: When did this specific show originally air?

I love this concept and have never heard this show before. Genius!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:09pm
Marcel M:

Yelling at dead pets.
Avatar 🚂 6:10pm
Nick the Bard:

(I started calling in at least to here in 2004 so it's def. possible)

@Jake - give me a sec, I have to go grab the Death Defiying Radio Stunts cd that this ep was released on
Avatar 🚂 6:11pm
Nick the Bard:

November 29, 2006? That's entirly possible i called in (i don't think I was ON on for that one though)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:12pm
Marcel M:

Really? You never had a pet duck? Coulda sworn it was you!
  6:12pm
JakeGould:

@Nick: Thanks for being on the ball and wow… This is a recent and brilliant idea. I love this so much.
Avatar 🚂 6:12pm
Nick the Bard:

Then that most likely was me (without listening to th archive anyway, 2006 was a LONG time ago)
  6:13pm
Listener Robert:

At the end one of them is going to say the secret word as a double reveal: that the show was live (or at least recently recorded) as well as secret word #10.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:13pm
Marcel M:

Twas a good episode.
  6:13pm
JakeGould:

@MarcelM: FWIW, my mom told me that in peasant areas of Poland in her childhood (1930s) ducks and geese were kept as guard pets. Ever have a goose chase you? Scary and adorable experience.
  6:14pm
JakeGould:

@Nick: Sorry, I thought you meant that November 29, 2006 was when this rerun episode first aired. Anyway, if you can dig up the date, that would be great.
  6:15pm
JakeGould:

If not, not price/date on joy!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:15pm
Marcel M:

@Jake: Actually in Silver Lake in LA a goose chased my wife and I. He was rather threatening!
Avatar 🚂 6:17pm
Nick the Bard:

Well, it looks like the last time this one aired was 2003, but the Death Defiying Radio Stunts cd is from 1998, and it doesn't actually list a date when this originated, so, it's from AT LEAST 1998 or before
  6:17pm
JakeGould:

@MarcelM: Funny! In the 1980s I was biking around Manhattan Beach in Brooklyn with a friend. We saw a goose in a yard so jumped the fence to check it out. It was pensive at us until owner started shouting at us and then… BAM! The goose is just like a fat ground missile. I never did a flying jump to a fence like that before. Scary. Told my mom and she was happy I had that experience.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:18pm
Marcel M:

@Jake: Haha. Yes they can be scary.
  6:18pm
Listener Robert:

The Drs. Lapinski in western NY kept geese. They nip your legs. They have no teeth, but they're fearless unless you strangle them to unconsciousness as Mike L. did once.
  6:20pm
JakeGould:

Crazy goose attacking dog! www.youtube.com...
  6:24pm
JakeGould:

@NicktheBard: Thanks for the info! Still a great thing this bit…
  6:24pm
Listener Robert:

Anger is not energy!
  6:26pm
JakeGould:

The playlist says: “100 Bottles of Beef”?
  6:27pm
Listener Robert:

They're deliberately dropping all these date references.
Avatar 🚂 6:29pm
Nick the Bard:

The playlist is in your mind...

that dude's peter lorre was SPOT ON, i tell ya!
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:30pm

nothing better than beef soda, jake
  6:31pm
JakeGould:

@Nick: Is this playlist like some Star Trek episode where we are sending messages to the past to prevent a catastrophe?
  6:31pm
JakeGould:

@dale: I just had a Manhattan Special myself.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:32pm
Marcel M:

@Jake: I had one of those today too! Do you know Ferdinando's in BK? They have it on tap.
Avatar 🚂 6:34pm
Nick the Bard:

The Shoprite aways down from the station has them, bunch of different "flavors" even (well, regular, diet, that kind of thing really)
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:39pm
Mike East:

I haven't had a manhattan special since I lived in brooklyn. Was just thinking about them last week...nice cold one on a hot day really hits the spot
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:40pm
Mike East:

A guy I used to work with said he was related to the guy who invented it...so he said.
  6:41pm
JakeGould:

@MarcelM: Never heard of Ferdinando’s but will add it to my list.

@NicktheBard: i heard there were other flavors, but haven’t tried them yet.

@MikeEast: All Italians in Brooklyn claim to be connected to every other Italian in Brooklyn, so it’s believable.
  6:42pm
MONEYBAG$:

I was seriously wondering how to incorporate a white album reference, and there it was
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:42pm
Mike East:

@JakeGould - ha! exactly.
  6:42pm
JakeGould:

FWIW, the fact Manhattan Special has a foamy head when you pour it is amazing to me.
  6:43pm
JakeGould:

@MikeEast: Everyone is everyone’s cousin.
  6:43pm
JakeGould:

Ooo… An Andrew Dice Clay reference. Early 1990s?
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:46pm
Ken From Hyde Park:

When we hear the secret word and fill the card, what is next? Send it in and await valuable prizes, right? Can we email a picture of the card?
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm
Marcel M:

@Jake: I love that about it too. The only time I've had it is at this place on tap. Is it common to be on tap? Have you seen that before?
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:47pm
dale:

is this a clip show - my wife was gonna call it in as an auctioneer
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:47pm
Marcel M:

@Ken: i'm gonna photograph it with my phone and email it.
Avatar 🚂 6:48pm
Nick the Bard:

it WAS going to be a clip show, but, there wasn't time to make one, so, jsut a regular old rerun type show tonight it's been
  6:48pm
JakeGould:

@MarcelM: Never saw Manhattan Special on tap before. Has to be some kind of special arrangement.
  6:49pm
JakeGould:

@Nick: I liked this show. So hey.
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:49pm
Marcel M:

They claim to be the oldest restaurant in Brooklyn. But I think there a few who claim that.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:50pm
dale:

awww, and her idea was a good one. 13 bottles of beer - do i hear 12, 12, 12 ,12
  6:50pm
JakeGould:

@Marcel: Ohhh! That place is Ferdinando's Focacceria on Union Street? Yup, has to be a very special arrangement for that place. That place is amazing!
Avatar Swag For Life Member 6:51pm
Marcel M:

Yes that place!!! Its great!
  6:51pm
JakeGould:

@MarcelM: That place is also a sad legacy of the pre BQE/Robert Moses Brooklyn. Imagine if the BQE wasn’t there and what a rich Italian neighborhood it would still be.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:52pm
dale:

that was the jackie o version.
  6:53pm
JakeGould:

I want a Stevie Wonder version.
Avatar 6:55pm
Carmichael:

Gimme a Yoko version!
  6:56pm
JakeGould:

@Carmichael: We’re past number 9.
Avatar 🚂 Swag For Life Member 6:56pm
dale:

no one belched or farted it?
  6:57pm
Listener Robert:

Negative 1 bottle of beer on the wall.
  7:00pm
Listener Robert:

I couldn't even hear that! Except that it was a sound.
  7:01pm
Sam:

Falling down? Is that what you said?
  1:29am
Gil:

For those who missed the show, the secret word was CLAIMS
Avatar Swag For Life Member 3:42pm
MichelleinGreenBay:

Just listened to the podcast. Whoever screamed the secret word is a serious asshole. I was listening on headphones and my ears are still ringing. Not cool. I know we're not supposed to share words, but I hope to spare others from the literal pain of listening to the end of the show. Turn your volume WAY down. Oh, and ignore Gil - that's not the secret word.
  4:05am
DME:

@Michelle I think that might have been Nick the Bard... it got me too
